Having problem now with my nursing staff ie Mary! She tested positive for Covid as well. Only symptoms are a cough and a demanding and in pain husband!

Covid is weird; I think all of our kids and most of the grandkids have had it but none of them were very sick at all. I was pretty much housebound through the worst part of the pandemic which worked in my favor I suppose.

On another note:

Earlene has a severe case of sciatica. Went to Urgent Care a few days ago and they gave her a steroid injection. it seems to be a LITTLE better today.

So, about 5 or 6 days ago I had sight congestion and sight runny nose, then the day after Earlene's UC visit she said her throat was tickling. Assumed she caught my cold. She said she was going to take the at home COVID test.

Yep she tested positive and most likely got it from me as she told me to take the test also and I also testes positive.

Other than an occasional cough and a slightly on and off again runny nose I feel great. I do think my taste buds are somewhere hiding. Earlene's sciatica is worse than the COVID. No respiratory problems but we'll monitor it. I'm definitely on the down side of it.

A few Ohmms and prayers would help.

Those tests have a very high false positive factor. They are about spreading fear, not health. Ohhmmms for sure

Tim, houses are actually burning all over London and elsewhere. AC won't help.

Speaking of air conditioner salesmen. The A/C tech just let our house. He took a $1,000 payment for a new A/C with another $9,000 due at installation on Thursday. Yippee skippy. With our renovations we have spent a great deal of money in the past year.

The injections she got today at the hospital emergency service has help considerably. We'll have to see what tomorrow brings,

Had an email a while ago from those friends I mentioned. We met Tom and Janice in Tuscaloosa and they said they were quite improved, just one bad night. Guess it affects different folks different ways, eh? Might have picked up from them. The funny thing is that with the little symptoms we had we would never have thought that we were infected. Never know if we passed it on or not.

Anyhow, Ohmms for all those are feeling bad, down in the dumps, sick, or otherwise just ornery,

Sarah, thanks. My DD and her family are further south in Kent and, as far as I know, are OK. What they don't have, like 99.99% of other families, is AC. Most shops and offices would have it but regular houses are just not built for it.

Didn’t know about the fires but I heard about the heat and lack of AC!
