I watch alternative news media, you know - the "conspiracy theorists". I can’t say I believe everything I hear, but I do agree that we need to be prepared for hard times ahead. An RV is a great way to prepare for what might happen. Properly outfitted it is your safe home anywhere that might be safer than where you are now.

I have stocked up on non perishables, TP, paper towels and pet food. And … more important, I am solar electrified, both my home and my RV.

Going solar need not be expensive and you don’t have to climb onto your roof. I have DIY solar in both RV and house and I will be happy to help anyone add solar power to their life. It’s not always the prettiest, but it is functional.

I also have a greenhouse started so that as soon as the weather cools down I can start growing much of my own produce.

I just wanted to mention this here, but I will take the discussion to the private email part of our community. I just wanted to reach as many RVMs as possible.

See you on the other side!

When you can you should go to https://www.irv2.com/forums/usercp.php and add yours to include your RVM#.

That should do the job. I use a GMC 3/4 ton to pull my TT and hay trailer and to transport my tractor or anything else that needs moved. But behind the MH I pull a Chevy Tahoe. The wife thinks it’s her duty to completely fill the Tahoe with new purchases as we travel! I’ve owned Fords but have owned GM for most of my life.

Sorry, I'm on my phone so signatures apparently don't show up.

Teaser-

Rosy sent me an email address to subscribe to RVM2RVM. It looks like Rosy is not a first name.

Hey Rosy! Please introduce yourself to the group. Tell us where you plan to travel as well. We have Muties all over the US and even a few in Canada. I'm trying to plan a GC in southern Arizona for next March. Now that’s where the real shenanigans happen. (At all GCs, not necessarily in AZ)

We’ll get loose after we get my Dr stuff fixed up in PA.
Hope we can get done up soon!!!

Be careful what you wish for! I would suggest that you wait until early October before coming to Southern Arizona. It’s still awfully dang hot here. Where will you be staying this winter? Yuma I hope, or even better there’s a really nice park about 4 miles from here called the Oasis at Aztec Hills. They book up early so you would need to make reservations now.

Thanks for the welcome! You guys can call me Rosy; everyone else does.

My wife and I aren't new to camping but we are somewhat new to RV camping. We just bought ourselves a gently used trailer this spring and have had it out a few times so far this summer. Farthest we've gone so far is about 300 miles to Banff National Park.

I grew up mostly camping at my parents' lake lot. They have a 23' 1985 Vanguard travel trailer that never leaves the lot. Before that, we had a 70s tent trailer that we took a few places but mostly used at the lake. No power or water and limited cellphone coverage out there, just my dad's ski boat and a cooler full of steaks and beer.

My wife grew up traveling all over Alberta, BC and Idaho with her family in their Coachmen Clipper tent trailer. Her parents now have a 2015 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite 2104S and have been retired since 2018 so we've been living the RV life vicariously through them for a few years and picked up some tips and tricks along the way.

We have a 2 year old daughter and a dog who's anxious in the car so we'll probably just stick around Alberta and Western BC for a few years. We mostly go to Banff, Jasper and Kootenay National Parks and I'm mostly into hiking, relaxing in the hot springs and sitting on a husband bench with the dog while the girls do their shopping.

Ultimate dream would be Alaska some day but, regardless of when we get there, the journey will remain the destination.

Ok so let me help those mutants with a short attention span. Rosy mentioned a few key words that deserve some attention. Cooler, steaks and beer, then bla, bla, bla about camping then wrapped it up with “the journey will remain the destination “.

Now Rosy I’m not the nosy one in the group but I’m asking for a friend. What’s the story with the name Rosy?
