That charger is very easy to install, it must be, I did it myself.
Wire in, wire out, mount it on something under the hood, done. You just need to make sure you have the 12v running through your RV to car cable on one of the pins. And that is probably the hardest/longest part of the install, getting the wire from the charger connected into the plug on your car. The rest is easy peasy.

After a number of full discharges like that, yes, that battery is worthless (I fixed your typo too).

I’m thinking I might need to bring my jumper cables and battery charger over to Catherine’s Landing. The thought of Wayne being stranded here for long is scary!

Kevin if you need help working on Waynes Car, I’ll bring a claw hammer.

You're gonna need a sawzall for passing the wire from the charger to the plug. Depending on where their plug is mounted, it may have to go through the radiator or whatever is in the way.

I don't recall if this has been asked before but, Wayne, does your car lose its charge when left on its own, unhooked?

So just one more week and this adventure truly begins!
Starting Sunday morning we go to western CT to attend our GDs 3rd b-day party, then spend the night at West Point (Army CG). Then it's off to Austin, TX!

Get this charger, it's what I use. I've had the charge issue in the past but once I switched to this thing, problem solved. And I had something else from the same company in the past but it didn't provide enough amps. This newer model works really nice. I never worry about my battery anymore while towing.

Hey Carl thanks for that info. I just rigged up our 20117 Equinox for towing and we just got back from our first trip. I had dead battery problems twice. I did run a charge line from the coach but hooked it to the coach batteries without thinking. I will try it on the chassis battery but this little gadget you have shown looks like a better solution!
