First time I actually saw a *wild* alligator outside of a state park, preserve, etc...I was walking down this sandy trail and then my eyes saw this!

Go walk on a golf course down there. They are in a lot of the water holes.
When I was down there playing the had a big sign up that said, "Free drop around water holes and alligators." We came to one hole and there was about a 10 footer sunning himself. We gave him plenty of room and took our free drop.
One trip to Kennedy Space Center and at lunch one of the workers said, "Come on, I want to show you something." In Texas it's "Here, hold my beer!" we walked about 50 feet and there was a small canal. There were hundreds of alligators all thrashing over themselves when we came walking up to the canal and scared them. More afraid of us then we were of them. I did keep my distance though.
