Have a good trip.
Speaking of, I found myself lying flat on my back on the VA parking lot this morning. It was cold, glasses fogged and I was wondering what the red paint was I was seeing.
It was a curb with a step-down. I didn’t stick my landing very well. Couple of nurses that were getting off came running . They ask, are you alright.

I replied pretty good for an old man lying flat on the ground. They gathered my glasses and helped me up and I’m here ready to serve!
But slowly!

This must explain why every time I see a doctor lately I get asked if I have fallen down recently. They must be mistaking me for some one dude because my age now starts with a six.

Tim, just take some sailor candy (ibuprofen) and get back to whatever you were doing.

Starts with a six, want be long till that will be passed for me.

Chris be carful about talking about your aches and pains in front of Earlene and Wayne. Earlene will try to give you one of Waynes Little Blue Pills.

I knew she was talking about Aleve but non of the people in the surrounding tables at the restaurant knew that. And from their snickers I knew they was thinking of another Blue Pill!

“Here Tim take this blue pill, Wayne says they work really good”

LOL

Too funny...

Tim - it's like motorcycle riding - you have to be aware at all times where your feet are going. I think your age is letting you forget that simple extra check - watch your step!!!

p.s., Hope you actually didn't get hurt, sounded like a nasty fall.

Carl, I would hope that your feet are going in the same direction as the motorcycle.

Further examination of the fall site as I left the hospital better explained the fall. I was walking on a roadway which had a curb painted red that lead up to a sidewalk. So I was stepping up thinking I would step onto a sidewalk but the sidewalk had a wheelchair ramp on the other side of the curb that was at the same height as the road I was on. Basically there was a red curb that was a tripping hazard that I had to step over.

I’m really sore today, knee skin’t up wrist and every muscle in me aching. Mary says it’s a good thing I’m a athlete and in such good shape. At least no broken bones this time!

Next time fall front side first. You'll bounce right back up!

Are you ready for the freeze this weekend?

Been working on finding my yard. It’s somewhere under a mountain of leafs. Was staying caught up with the mulching till I left for deer camp then they kind of piled up. Calling for snow here as well.

Got to run extension cord out to the chickens to keep their water from freezing and I’ll just bust the ice off the horses water trough. Wood box full, venison in the cooler, yep I’m ready!

is the chicken coop heated? my best layer would fight the other chickens so I had to have a 2ond heated coop just for her.

gonna dip down close to +2 degrees thursday night and stay that cold thru mid next week, I am so looking forward to my 1/22 leave date.

Coop not heated, water hangs below coop and heat lamp shins on water tank. Chickens are enclosed coop huddled together, they do ok. When we had the cows here I would take the tractor down and bust ice off pond but we currently are out of cow business till fuel and hay prices drop so the horse is here at pasture closest to my house.

Which way you headed 1/22?
