Well, I guess old age is catching up on me.

On the 24th of this month I'm having a partial cornea transplant (DMEK) of the right eye. Doing it so I can see how beautiful Earlene is. (That should get me a nice meal)

Baylor jumped through the hoops to get me schedule so my last expected appointment for follow up will be in June and we travel after that to Shipshewana.

As you know, prayers are always welcome.

I'll most likely post before surgery but you can expect some peace and quiet (quite for Tim and others) on the forum posts after surgery.

On another note: Reservations made at Spring Branch RV Park, Texas for April 1, 2024 through April 10, 2024, depart on the 11th.

Make sure to tell Paige you are an RV Mutant.

I'm going to be staying at Spring Branch RV Park in Spring Branch TX, myself arriving on the 1st of April, 2024 and leaving on the 11th. But the official gathering dates, since they're usually a week at a time, are from the 4th to the 11th with the eclipse happening on the 8th, starting around noon TX time.

So call early if you're interested, the # is 830-885-2491 and I spoke to Paige who was very helpful. Hope to see ya'll*there!
Carl I’m going to assume you’ve checked into the path over the chosen area and step up an make reservations. Another mooning could be coming!

Might want to bring your flash, the eclipse occurs in the dark!

Attention everyone, be sure to book early, sites will fill up as the eclipse gets closer! I nominate Wayne for smash burgers and Earline for copious amounts of that dessert that was recently pictured on here.

Yes, over the last couple of weeks I've been scouring the maps, chatting w/Wayne for advice, verifying reviews of the campgrounds, checking the NASA map for the path of the eclipse, etc.

The park is pretty close to the middle of the path of the eclipse so the experience should be fabulous. Prices at the park are quite reasonable and discounts for veterans, age, etc...

I have an even better camera than the last time so I'm totally looking forwards to all this, not only the eclipse, being with mutants - hope a few of you show up, riding throughout the hill country TX, I mean life can't get much better than that!

Smash burgers, Oki onion burgers - any burger you like. Oh, and BTW, there isn't enough eclipse to cover your moon!

Who's right. I see you were wearing the "find me" collar that Mary gave you.

Fun day yesterday, son pulled one gooseneck loaded with tractor and equipment and I pulled another gooseneck mounded over, but lighter, with cattle panels, water through, welder, various plows and a lot of other unused farm machinery to Arkansas’s largest farm auction.

Auction is Friday but getting there early gets your stuff located near the front and allow you to walk around to check out all the other goodies. Like kids we crawled on several larger tractors and started a few. Friday will be like a circus where old farmers come just to walk around.
