Chris,
Someone at the beginning of all this gave the 4-11 dates and it stuck. Personally I would have preferred the following week but it is what it is. (Then it is what you make of it.)
So, scrunch up and go from 4 to 20 Aug. That will give you some good time with me, and others.
Official dates would be Arr: Aug 4, Dep: Aug 11.
Duh! It's on the Shipshewana who's going thread! (Okay, I just put it there.)

Hey Carl, I just saw another ad for the eclipse coming next year. Arkansas parks are making sure they are fully booked by that time and I’m sure other states will be doing the same.
Do you have the dates we’ve settled on and park info, we might need to remind those slow to move mutants to get their reservations made now better than later.

I'm going to be staying at Spring Branch RV Park in Spring Branch TX, myself arriving on the 1st of April, 2024 and leaving on the 11th. But the official gathering dates, since they're usually a week at a time, are from the 4th to the 11th with the eclipse happening on the 8th, starting around noon TX time.
So call early if you're interested, the # is 830-885-2491 and I spoke to Paige who was very helpful. Hope to see ya'll*there!

Here’s the info folks! New Mutants, Old mutants, wannabe mutants all are welcome but make your reservations now before they book up. From the last eclipse GC (rally) we learned things get really crazy finding a spot the closer we get to eclipse date.

We are also arriving 4/1 and departing 4/11. Most likely head down to San Antonio for a week or so.

I called the pastor and told him the weather man said it would be cloudy till about noon then the sun would come out. I was thinking that waiting till noon to have the Sunrise Service was a good idea. Some pastors just have no sense of humor.

Ketchup time again. Ed, I’m sorry to hear about your injuries. I hope you’re doing better.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks here in Arizona. I have been burying an IBC tote in the ground in order to put 8 new solar batteries in it. The little backhoe I bought from Harbor freight I named Bucky. And he does try to buck me off frequently. I’ve got the tote in the ground now, and I am digging a trench from the house to the tote for a 4” airline that will help keep it cool. I now regret not putting the tote closer to the house.
Today was our first really hot day. It got up to 101° about 4 pm this afternoon. It’s time to get the swamp cooler running again. Seems like we just got over cold weather and now it’s really hot.
Does anyone have a magic wand they can lend me? I have so many projects that need to get done and so little time and energy to do them.
