Apparently RVMs are a well read, music loving, instrument playing, bunch who don't use the radio too often.

So - we're up to offering RVM15 to anyone who doesn't miss what they don't have, make the journey the destination etc. R u an RV Mutant?

I had an R&R band all thru high school.
Played lead axe (guitar).
Beatles, Stones, The Animals, etc. Did some fine blues too.
Had a tight sound.
It was all about the music. Well...
attracting the ladies was a nice bi-product.
Arthritis stopped my riffs when I was 17.
Can still strum, if somebody loans me an axe.

RVM1 - Maybe a cigar box guitar (axe) would do ya.

Edit: is R/R --- rhythm and rheumatoid in your case.

I just reviewed RVM1's original list of things he doesn't have and doesn't miss and remembered that I had initially suggested he rethink one item. Rope-lights.

I have them am will be ordering another stand or two. I already had a couple strands that I got from Mardi Gras warehouse for a Fat Tuesday party I had a few years ago. One day while reading iRV2 I came across a thread about desert boondocking in south western New Mexico. Folks were using rope lights around the outside of their rigs at night to keep desert pack rats from climbing up into their engine and other compartments.

I commented to Dave then that when they weren't being used to keep varmints from invading and eating your wiring up, they gave happy hour a nice ambiance. And it seemed to me that another RVM quality was finding new ways to use things and to make what ya have carry it's weight.

Ok RVM's - the floors open - rope lights - Mardi Gras - cocktail hour - creative use. Where will the journey lead us this time?

If you have creative ways to make things pay their way, don't miss what ya don't have, etc., you may be an RV Mutant too. If so - RVM15 is up for grabs. Take the plunge and join the group. Tell us why you're and RVM too.

Ok RVM's, I agree.
Mardi Gras - cocktail hour - creative use. Where will the journey lead us this time?

But no rope lights. I dont boondock!
My cowboy hat takes up that space!

RVM1 - Perhaps there is a misunderstanding. Down here in Tejas - the cowboy hat goes on the head, rope lights go anywhere else.

I have 3 RVM cowboy hats!
1 hat, 1 head, 0 rope lights.
Being an RVM used to be so lonely.

Where is RVM15?

I'm also trying to get into Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar. If anyone wants to sample this style - got to www.youtube.com and search for Fran Guidry.

Had my first coaching session (not lesson) last week. It is fun to try to learn this method.
.
I love slack key and have tried playing it a few times from lessons I found online at a paid site. If you are interested PM me for a free 7 day trial code.

BTW.. If I remember right...copyright laws have changed, it used to be 50 years past death for it to become public domain... but I don't recall what it is now... something like 75 years. Now, if the song in question is an Old song that's been rehashed... like Elvis' "love me tender" (Aura Lee) you can have free reign.

A little Hawaiian Slack Key for RVM listening pleasure on a Saturday morning.

The first time these guys played together! They may be RVMs too.

Floors open to anyone wishing to join the RVMs - RVM15 still up for grabs. Got things you don't have and don't miss - or have any other RVM qualities - tell us about it and become RVM15.

Enjoy the tune on your journey!

Long time familiarity. Definitely one of the all time greats. Edit - also big Doc Watson fan.

I'm more of a RV Mutant than I thought!

I also do not have (and do no need):

Scare lights, Auto gen-start, A handling fix, Water softener, MCD shades, Flow-rite Pro-fill battery system, Dash cam, Tankless water heater, Solar powered waste tank vents, Flag pole, Multiple disk CD/DVD changer, Macerator, DVR.

That makes a total of 46 items...so far. I'm nearly overqualified to be an RV Mutant! But, BUT, everything I do have....WORKS.

Where is the next RVM? I know you are out there

Is this kind of like an AAA meeting where were supposed to announce that I'm an RV mutunt and this is what I didn't do to my RV?
Ok so here is a complete list of the mods and additions ive done to our motor home:
1. Ummmm, ahhha, well there's ....., lts see there's....
Well I guess that sums it up for now.
Oh wait, I did add a TPMS, does that disqualify me as an RV Mutant?
