Welcome PushedAround (RVM74) and WAGM (RVM75).

You'll quickly learn the sarcasm/tongue-in-cheek nature of some of the replies. You'll also learn the sincerity/compassion of some of the statements made by the other mutants. If you're not sure which it is, ask. The first 73 mutants are as honest as the day is long. (DST excluded).

Hope to see you in Arkansas.

Pic is of my Grand Daughter, Megan, PFC US Army Medic, teaching field first aid techniques to my Grandson Bradley's (he is the tall one) Boy Scout Troop during their Winter Camp Out.

Meg is on leave at home in PA after serving a year in South Korea, to be stationed in GA now.

Can you guess where we will be going after our stop in PA? In knew you could! Click image for larger version

Thanks Tim and Jeannie.

I dont know how we got so darn lucky with our kids and grands.

Tim, my daughter said that Meg had their undivided attention and admiration. After all, she is an older woman and in uniform and really knows her job!

And Bradley is Assistant Troop Leader and also Troop Chaplain. And I own him because I take him trap shooting (will put off a date with a girl for that ). He is on the cusp of being an Eagle Scout!

TINA!!!

Those are NOT the photos I like to see you post. I can't puzzle anything that cold looking, BRRRR! My suggestion -- find a new back yard for 9 months each year and leave that to the polar bears.

Do hope ya can get that Rockwood outa there soon!
My kids say this is the worst winter they can remember. Well....I remember much worse! You? Like when we walked to school, and it was 5 miles, with 3 feet of snow, 30 below, and up hill....BOTH WAYS

Good going for your GS it takes a lot of work to become an Eagle. Our youngest GS made it to Eagle last year, actually it was on 12/12/12, that they granted it to him. The party was months later. Now he is still going strong as a leader in the Boy Scouts. Takes a lot of time and support from family.

Welcome to the newcomers...RVM's 74 & 75.

Hope there is a mug left after the GC for me........DIBS!

Keep encouraging Bradley, as you know I was involved in Scouting for many years and had many boys near to finishing up the Eagle Rank and then they smell the fumes. Gasoline fumes (reached driving age) and Perfume (the lure of the young ladies).

Otters, Bald Eagles and Geese, Oh My!

Today has been a wonderful day for watching nature on the Columbia River. I saw my first ever wild bald eagle trying to catch smelt, then I saw otters feeding on the same. And there is a pair of wild geese that return here every Spring to nest. I'll be on my way to the GC before there are goslings, but it's fun to watch the parents feed and listen to them honk at the big ships that pass by. I wonder if they are admiring or fussing? Anyone here speak Goose and can translate?

Marty, you vastly overestimate my technical skill. I'll look at some apps for recording audio on my iPad, but I'll be honest, I'm not sure my poor tired, old brain can manage to figure this out.
