Chuck if your looking to boondocks half way I would stop before getting into Memphis. We have stopped at Bartlett,Tn before at a Wal-mart off I-40. There will be road construction on I-40 between Memphis and Little Rock and traffic can back up, not to mention areas might not be the safest to boondock in.

Barb, are you coming in from i40. Through Missouri or in from Oklahoma? Need any suggestions?

Thanks for the info. May stop in W Memphis or there abouts. Map shows about 7 hrs drive and with a couple stops for Chopper (Fuzzy 1) it won't be to bad. For "W" I can only drive 11 hrs legally and the MH is much more comfortable than the the "W" truck. (I drive faster than Don sometimes )

Thanks, Di! When I figure out what route I'm taking I'll get back with you on suggestions. It's about a 2,500 mile drive thru 8 states for me. I usually decide the night before where I plan to go the next day. I used to plan further ahead but found it a waste of time. There are SO many distractions and attractions along the way.
It's going to be hard on my heart to leave here, but I can't wait to get there.

I would agree with Tim.... East side of Memphis.... NO to WEST MEMPHIS..... It is horrible... The welcome center in West Memphis maybe...

I don't have any limit on speed to the toad, so it helps. Your passing through sounds great for getting together as June is usually a slow month for "W".

So far my toad has kept up with me regardless of what speed I drive.lol
It's when it (the toad) tries to pass that I get nervous. Ha I'll be headed to Myrtle Beach for the IRV2 National rally and looking to spend some time over and around your blue mountains so be prepared for 100 questions come GC!

Even though we seek the journey more than the destination, my wallet says go slow too. LOL
