Sena and her buddy Lily are both passed out from such a long day. Lily, the ever so sheltered canine got to experience real rain for the very first time today. A cloudburst came upon us suddenly and we headed back to the Moho. Sena, clever primate that she is, jumped on my shoulders and then ducked down inside my shirt to avoid direct rainfall. My hands were full and Lily was left to run back rather than being picked up and sheltered from the rain.

Of course she got there way ahead of me and then kept running back to me with a very puzzled presence. Once I got the door open she dashed up the steps and generously shook herself just as I caught up with her. She then proceeded to thank me for the lesson about rain by jumping on the bed and rubbing her wet self all over. At least she had not rolled in dead fish again.

Does anyone else besides me envy a dog's ability to shake water from their body? They always appear to be so satisfied afterwards. It must just feel good. Sena can shake herself, but not with the efficiency that Lily does. I'm jealous of both of them. Why did humans lose that ability?

And what is it about smelly stuff that prompts dogs to roll in it?? Here again, they always seem so proud of what they accomplished and SO indignant when we humans wash it off -- with a bath, no less.

We have a rain training program for our kids, called sprinklers. They didn't like them at first, but now they love em!

Oh, and fresh peaches are the bomb....let me know when you need help!

So this is the day to ponder.... if plans are made, only to be changed were they really planned? If a mutant thinks that the next few weeks will be wonderfully spent on the road and finds in the mailbox, a Jury Summons effectively voiding the travel, does said mutant : Cry? Scream? sink into Depression? or simply accept? And wait.

So this what we will do, no tears, no screams, not gonna let a little setback force depressing thoughts. Just gonna have to suck it up and be patient.

I have not been to the Dells in 44 years. Heard it has changed alot. Do they welcome Mutants?

JudyH - jury duty is a tough one - but the mutant adapts. Perhaps you write a best seller - The Summons - by JudyH. The story of changed plans and intrigue.

I do hear that full time residents of SD can write "full timer" on the summons and return it - that's that. Sounds good to me.

One of the best things about full-time is NO lawn to sprinkle, cut or weed and I always need help. You anywhere near WA state? The peaches are even organic :-p

Yes, that is correct. The driver license clerk explained it to us. You sign a "Nomad Affidavit" and return it along with the summons and that's it.

In some jurisdictions a planned vacation is a reason to postpone, but not avoid, jury duty. Maybe a call to the clerk tomorrow morning could get you back on the travel track. I think it helps if you have non-refundable plane tickets, but who knows?

Good Evening:

After sitting in El Paso at the Onan Repair Place (Ha Ha Ha) for 5 days and still no genie, we left Friday morn.

Dunner: We came thru Phoenix on Sunday afternoon with the engine temp at 202 - 210 doing our 60 MPH.

The desert in Ca ate our lunch. We were doing 35 MPH in third gear up the grades and the temp was thumping 210-220. We are now in Apple Valley Ca., with a pissed off son because we were late (by his standards) getting here. The drive was hot but gorgeous. Tomorrow I'm going to look for another Onan dealer/repair shop and see if we can get the darn thing running. CG's are a PITA, to close, no privacy, but nice pool. Alex (son) wants us to stay for three weeks but the call of the open road is strong. I think that their are a few jobs to do to his 5th wheeler. We pulled Cajon pass with the truckers and was only passed by one MH that was probably sucking 3 gallons of fuel per mile to feed those 400 horses.

It has been e great trip even without the genie. We've met some really nice people at the repair shop.

They are fully "non-denomonational" to Mutants or zombies, as long as you have monetary denomination.

A pleasant place, with a focus on kids. More mini golf than all of Florida. But plenty of interests for all ages. Although much of it is just another place to pay too much for cheap, foreign T-shirts.

True to the reviews, the Original Wisconsin Ducks are the best, and grandson can attest. He was in awe.

Did stop at the mouse on top shop on our way to MN.
Cheese curds! Not just delicious. They squeek on your teeth!
Cheddar older than most children.
It is illegal to leave WI without buying entirely too much cheese!
