Since everyone is bringing regional foods which is great, those Of us who are Texans in the group should contribute Texas barbecue to the menu. Ribs, Sausage, brisket ...how bout it Texans?

Because I can't make it down for the Grand Curiosity, I could still send down some live (so they're fresh) Rattlesnakes from my back yard for my meat contribution from my region.
I just need someone's address to send them to.
Anyone?

Kidding of course but it wouldn't it be great mutant feast if we were able to bring our regional specialities along with us. Being from the DFW area I guess we would have to bring a restaurant. There's one on every corner.

Hey can I substitute Moose for Cariboo? We have both an Elks and A Moose Lodge here in town so they would be easy to drag down but what would you want with a bunch of old geezers hooked on beer?
Seriously if we do get to come I'll bring some fresh Halibut for a fish and chips night. Don't hatchet your counts before they chicken because our attendance is still on the furthest back burner for the next while. Especially with all the leagal wrangling we're into at the moment.
Les I may need a plethora of "Anti Will Chasers" if you can deliver them up on short notice.

I propose that we choose 103-111 as our lakeside spots and the pull thrus just across from them for the other spaces.

Frugal sounds wonderful to me! I didn't get such lectures, and as a young person, was NOT frugal and it made me miserable. I like frugal, I find I am happier the less I spend. More is NOT better for me.
I like what you have said here and hope as we move into RVing, and eventually full timing, I will become ever more frugal!

So true! There is wealth in family and peace of mind that is apart from "stuff".

LOL!!
Bacon, that marvelous slice of an amazing beast!
My hubby's favorite staple is my bacon and onion Quiche.
Cook bacon, drain grease into pot and save for making eggs the rest of the week.
Crumble the bacon.
Slice and carmelize onions in bacon grease. Cool the onions, adding in crushed garlic and mixing well.
grate cheddar and colby cheese.
Thaw frozen spinach
Beat eggs, add seasonings, add onions and cheese, and spinach.
Butter pans, place bacon into pans, ladle egg mix over the bacon, bake 250 for an hour and half.
It is never exactly the same twice. Bacon makes this dish!
I LOVE all the bacon talk!
