No machine here and no can sing either. I have ordered and new 2T external hard drive and plan to begin moving my cd music to iTunes format.

Anyone have a loud docking station or external speaker system we can use for music at our Mardi Gras shindig? It need to loud enough to hear in an open area. Most I have seen online are good up to foot away before they distort - or are rather expensive.

We Shall see indeed, its just to hard to tell right now, cause there is no way to know how the rainbow will bend once we head that way, we plan on making it a slow and steady trip and wont even plot our course until its much closer to the time we depart. but we can keep it in thought and work on it as we go.

Well, they (whoever they are) make them for tablets, smartphones, etc. to protect the screens...why not bigger ones? Could call them "Bugger - Me - Not's".

Jackie and I have purchased our first class A about 2 years ago and traded up last fall to our current baby. We found a well cared for 2000 American Eagle 40 EDS. While it does have a lot there are somethings it does not and we dont miss them.

Multiple slides, ours only has one. Outdoor kitchen and entertainment center, tag axle, or a half bath.
We have zero rope lights but do have some lights on a string for the awning whch I hope you folks will overlook.
We sold off two vehicles this past summer and purchased a Jeep Wrangler for a toad which we love. Have seen some fun mutant jeeping recently.
Not sure we can make the Great Curiousity but would love to.
Last but not least the journey is definantly a big part of the whole experence....slow down and enjoy.

The home health care people will be here tomorrow to do an evaluation as to what we can expect. We're not walking right now but we've had that problem before and overcame it.

We're already talking about our next trip - possibly Oktoberfest in Galveston on Oct 24-26. If she can get up and down the five steps to the MH I can do the rest with the wheelchair. If all goes well, we're going to go to Wurstfest in New Braunfells Tx. the first week of Nov. We haven't missed one in eleven years. We don't drink and she can't dance but we sure like the music.

Hot Springs sounds like a good idea - we're going to try and be there.

Ouch...I hope everything works out well for you from now on!

^^ Hey Don - how the Quack are ya? Eventually you will be overwhelmed by talk and snaps of Mardi Gras goings on at the GC @ CL in April. Realize it's a fer distance and DW has a restaurant to run - but would sure like to see you two quackers there. Glad to see ya made it back to us!

I'm in favor of a caravan but our old horse only runs about 60-65 it tops out at 68 unless going downhill in NM and then she'll do 81 by the Tom Tom.

I was thinking 2 days to Plano, enjoyable evening, and then 2 days to Hot Springs. Just kidding. I'm thinking about 4-5 days unless we get in a hurry and then we'll do it in 3. Remember the journey is the destination.

All you young squirts - life gets better after 70. Even with strokes and brain surgeries. Knees hurt - hips hurt - hearing not as good eyes not as good, but the DW is there to help out, enjoy the beautiful sun sets and the views and smells of the countryside.

Install the new belt and keep the old one as a spare. That way you know it fits and maybe you can avoid a break down while traveling the rainbow..

I usually do that, but I heard it is a two man job and I don't have anybody close to help me. I could probably do it myself, but after reading recent posts, it appears that serpentine belts last a long time. Only have 17k on my MH and my Ram 1500 has 137k on the stock belt.

I just checked the mileage from Yuma, AZ to Frisco, TX .... geeessshhhhh its 1200 miles it sure doesnt look that far, but its a good thing I can take a couple of weeks to do that, or faster depending. Ill probably be coming into the DFW area by 20 then hook north on 35 to Frisco, but I'll have to figure out where I can make 2 or 3 day stops along the way, there is no reason to hurry Ill have like a full month to get to Hot Springs via Frisco. The big reason we want to stop in Frisco is because we have some friends that have spent the last 12 years in California, and they have just moved to Frisco, and they are right on the way to Hot Springs, what better time to stop and touch base. Yeeeeee Haaaaaa
