Jeff - as an economist by education and formerly by trade - I have heard that many times. The more popular version at one time was this variation:

"If all the economists were laid end to end, it would be a good thing."

I attended many economic conferences in my youth. After checking into the Fairmont San Francisco on one occasion, I went down to the bar. The place was empty except for the bartender. I asked him where everyone was. He said we're on half staff and don't expect any business the next three weeks. I asked why and he said - well the economists are in town this week, next week the accountants come in and we close at 7 when they're here, and even the working girls go on vacation the week after when the actuaries arrive.

Hi Steve !!!

I have to apologize I had forgotten that was your stock in trade I wasnt trying to poke fun at economists. Ya know there was a time when they poked fun at American auto workers much in the same way.

Your story about attending that economic conference is a good one, and I have to admit there are many times I'll get my own adult beverages and just make my own, it's cheaper and I can make them to my own liking. Once while up north getting ready for deer season my brother and I went into a bar and ordered some Black Velvets and coke, you couldnt hardly taste any Black Velvet in it at all and they cost 7 bucks each, I think there was a splash of whiskey and the rest coke. So the result of that was when at the bar order a beer, at least those they dont dilute them to the point of being tasteless, and save the good stuff for mixing your own.

Cheers !!!

Here's Another

Ok my Friends Here's Another,

Gratitude

A State Trooper had a perfect spot for a radar trap, but every car that went by was doing the speed limit. After a few fruitless hours, he discovered the problem. A young boy was standing up the road with a sign which read "Radar Trap Ahead!" The trooper explained that what he was doing was wrong and put the boy in the back of his cruiser intending to take him to his parents.
"Can we pick up my friend on the way back?" asked the youth, "he's farther down the road." Agreeing the officer found the other boy down the road with a bucket full of money, labeled, "TIPS".

Cheers !!!

Well then, that just about opens the door for the following.

Did you hear the one about the Econamist, the Lawyer and
the Preacher?
These three walked though the perlie gates at the same time.
Oh, okay we all know that no _________________ would ever make it through those gates.

Steve, out of deep respect for you I chose to leave that line blank. Besides, the moderators have already pulled two of my post in the last 24hours.
Did you know to cant say............................

Careful now - discussing moderator action is also an infraction. I always thought we mutants were so well mannered and behaved that we require no moderator admonishment. Perhaps we're all just well educated in the rules by way of experience. Whatever the case, I'm proud of our record.

Hey Steve !!!

One of the things that makes this particular group of mutants so good is the fact the we do know how to be well mannered, and the whole premise of us getting together and lining up for mutated numbers is because there is a common thread we all have, and that is there are things we dont have and that we dont need and that we definitely dont miss we have a great record and we have had over 80,000 people visit our curious ponderings in our very short time of being. There are going to be bumps along the way and there may well be some toes stepped on inadvertently, thats life, and life does happen, our response to that is to pick up and carry on and enjoy the colors upon the rainbow. So for that I am happy to be numbered among the mutants, a round of BACON for all !!!

Cheers !!!
