That's the one. Well the local TV station did a segment last night on the band. Back in the day they were quit big, a fixture at any southern rock venue. You may recall long blond hair to waist, no shirt, skinny as a rail with all kinds of moves. You might say their quite big now too. Jim Dandy and his lead guitarist are both well over 300 lbs and well their coming out with a new album.
From what I saw ole Jim still has some moves on stage, just not the same ones from the 70's.

Hi Steve !!!
Oh yeah we went Jeepin alright and we had a blast. We traveled up the Apache Trail and went to Tortilla Flats for lunch as well. We ate lunch at Tortilla Flats and wouldnt ya know it all the walls in that last remaining stage stop on the Apache Trail is covered in one dollar bills, left by customers over the years, there must be thousands of dollars stapled to the walls. There is even currency from all around the world as well. And who ever said there was no water in the desert ? We drove mostly along the waters edge the whole trip the road is suitable for any vehicle, once past Tortilla Flats the road becomes dirt and is washboard type of travel but the views are fantastic. Roosevelt Dam and Roosevelt Lake are amazing as well. It's going to take me years to see everything there is here but thats just fine I'll gladly undertake the challenge. I'll post a few photos, but they hardly do the trip justice. Today we are going to head up to Goldfield, AZ a mining ghost town that we passed on the way to Tortilla Flats, you can even pan for gold there but my guess is that its all played out, it's been a tourist stop for many many years, but you can also take the gold mine tour and since I really enjoy going in caves and such that should be fun as well.

Well, okay. "Q" is short for BBQ. You need to get out more often.
Edited: you were probably thinking "James Bond" stuff, right. Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to accuse you of thinking.

Hmmm... I was thinking Star Trek... the fellow named Q or who was a part of the Q contingency.

Didja Notice ?
Hey Mutants !!!
Did ya notice we have posted and pondered right past the "Word Association Game" since the inception of this thread, which started 7 days later than the "Word Association Game" we have finally posted past them with many insights and Q'isums when we could have just had a cookout.
I also wish to make a shoutout to our newest mutants welcome to the mayhem and hold onto your hats, please bestow upon us your ponderings and observations for posterity, and if you wrap them in BACON you can rest assured they will be devoured with joyful aplomb.
Cheers !!!

Hey Dave !!!
Perhaps you need to put some twang in your thang. Mayhaps you were wrong once but you were probably mistaken.
Cheers !!!

Judy, I have done such a non-mutant switch, all be it, before I mutated here. The Fisher-Paykel Dishdrawer is a close fit to the typical RV range, but in my tiny kitchen I had to have a new cabinet made to safely support the DW without having to relocate the sink drain lines. For me it was a GREAT trade.

[Ok. This is a little late but I haven't been keep'n up so good lately] To answer two posts: I DVR South Park. I thought I was the only one over thirty (or is it sixty?) that watched it. Leave it to the mutants to have a twisted sense of humor! And yes. Country music has not only gotten loud - it's gotten away from country. To many pretty people with no talent. JMHO
On another note - the MoHo is in the shop get'n her annual maintenance physical, and my Q is in it's basement! But it's too rainy here to Q, anyway. Or smoke bacon - or to do much of anything. Even rope lights won't work, but we'll still try and find that rainbow!

OK, all this talk of "Q" s making me want some brisket. I love to cook, but barbeque is not my thing.
Anyone know a good barbeque in Tucson? They have a zillion restaurants, but it seems dominated by Mexican cuisine.
On another subject, I've missed so much South park this season because of traveling. Cartman was particularly evil last night!
