I've been in HO since 1952 with my first locomotive - a Mantua shifter 0-4-0. My current (6th) layout is 15'X15' in an up-stairs bedroom. But I've got train stuff all over the house. It has kept me out of bars and it's a good bonding agent for the kids.
My dad was in 1/2" gauge that was live steam and ran around the yard .

If you will remember (when Nixon was president) the best college game of the year was when Arkansas played Texas when they were one and two rated. Nixon even flew down to Little Rock to see the game.

Thank you. Katy retired from service in 2006. She passed away the year but she had an exciting life. My lab and I are looking forward to our exciting new life.

Well, Jim, if you check out the first 2 or 3 posts you will see the basis of RV Mutants.
Basically, there are things that we dont have for our RVs but we dont need them. On top of that, the journey is our destination.
There are 61 RVMs riding the rainbow together. Interested? Tell us what you do not have abd do not need, and that the journey is your destination. You can be RVM62 with all rights and privledges.

When time permits I am working on a 3 3/4" scale 7 1/2" gauge Garrett 2-4-0 + 0-4-2 live steamer. It is big enough that when finished I will ride inside the cab to run it.
The gentleman who designed it lives in Australia and the think will be about 12 feet long when complete. John's wife is running the loco in the attached picture.
I have a couple of boxes of Brass from when we were into the smaller stuff. Keeping it because we can no longer recoup the money paid for them.
