Inner Strength

There are times like these

you could drop to your knees,

as you wonder how much you can take.

But as some people know

with their troubles in tow,

there is always a choice
 they can make.

To drown in our sorrows,

saps up our tomorrows,

and makes everything in our lives
 seem bleak.

So, just count your blessings

and not your misgivings,

and somehow you'll not feel so weak.

Just change what you can,

put the rest on a shelf,

and keep misery at an arm's length.

For it's the wealth of those

who can conquer their woes,

that's the secret to "Inner Strength!"
Hey Les !!

Thank you for sharing your poem, it really touched Marcia and I. Without going into all of the nasty details, with all the issues with our rolling magic carpet, my middle son and his ex-girlfriend mother of my grand daughter have been having some real nasty issues, and of course it bleeds back to mom and dad. So your poem was a needed boost. Thank you once again.

And to all of my mutated friends I wish you a most blessed Christmas, you all are making it very special.

Cheers !!!

Hi Jeff,

My belief in powers greater than that of any mortal includes the principle that if we walk the path we are supposed to be walking, the tools we need to thrive in this world will be placed before us. Those tools come in many forms -- words, objects and even friends. Everything we need to solve any problem is right there, but we must pay attention, as none of it comes with a tag that reads, "Here is the solution to the problem you now face."

In that same vein, I know the people we stumble into are never by accident. For everyone, irregardless of how grand or meager their life may seem, is here to teach us something vitally important.

This group is one of the best examples of my beliefs working as they should. We are here for you, my friend, as you are for us. I hope the current issues ease and the light of peace shines on your family soon.

Agreed! (But I sometimes still want those tags!)

Cheers!

Do any of you play Words with Friends? I have 2 usernames Senamonkey and Senasmom if you want to send me a game request. I'd love to match wits with some folks I know. It might be easier than losing to random strangers, LOL.

You go girl! I can totally relate on the anxiety. DD and I along with our 5 Tiny Dogs took a 1st long trip to MO in Sept. The rig had a damaged manifold that couldn't get fixed in time. Plus we were towing my car, and had trouble with hooking it up. One freak out after another I tell ya!

So next year I get to do it all by myself! I'm already freaking out!

I love, love the pic of you hugging your rig!
When we got back from our trip in one piece, I felt like doing exactly that!

All-in-One printer update

As a last resort, I re-installed Win7. Scan still doesn't work from my desktop and tech support still hasn't called back. I lost all my emails on this computer, but was able to save the Address Book.

I lost the address of one person I was conversing with over the problem. Wayne was it you? I think the email address was something like rvtrash dot something or other. Email me if anyone remembers.

Really, really nice...thank you!

There's frost on the picnic table. I'm not eating breakfast out there!

I didn't have any of your challenges! Just my codependent lab that wanted to lay down under the dash. More women should let themselves feel this empowered. This morning's challenge: rush hour on the way back to work.

Most excellent words of wisdom.

I will keep it for my reference and with your permission
I would like to share it with a couple of friends.
