Another milestone Muteys! Post # 9,000 and the last 1,000 in only a little less than 16 days, 23 hours. We are a talkative bunch, for sure!

Thinking about the ear wax thing made me wonder that if you put ear wax on your tires would dogs then just sniff your tires rather than pee on them.

Too funny! But the reason I'd only have a female dog. They may have the same need to mark their territory, but at least their aim is much lower.

Both. Sniff first, then pee. Isn't that what all male dogs do?

Speaking of dogs liking their ear canals massaged. Our Female Jack that we lost last summer used to clean our little male Jack's ears for him. It was cute as heck every couple days he would sit down beside her and tilt his head and she would clean his ears. Now he comes to me and I massage his ears but I don't think it is the same for him. To clarify I use my finger, and I don't sniff it either.

Added benefit is that the wax will repel the pee!!

Sadie's ears never get dirty and she has had only one tic in her 8 years. That was 7 1/2 years ago. I must have tic magnets next door.

I had dog who had a litter of puppies, 4 black, 1 light tan. The tan puppy was covered in ticks one day and all the black pups had 2-3 ticks each. I treated them all and 2 weeks later the same distribution of ticks. I was happy that they all soon found good homes.
Do ticks prefer light hair? I know Sena does. Maybe Sadie's coloring is protecting her from ticks?

She's a black and tan. Mostly black, though. The one I did find was in her outer ear.

Good morning Muteys! It's another beautiful day on the rainbow and mine is starting once again with a water problem. Bedroom carpet is really wet and I can't find the water leak! My first suspicion was fridge but it is dry on the back inspection from outside panel so I pulled drawers out below the closet and no water lines back there visible so the journey continues today. Got up this morning and the wet carpet is spreading over to the bathroom so I have to find this fast. Hmmmm.
