So I thought I would share this picture with my mutant family - my daughter Meredith - 5 years old - in our brand new 1991 Airstream B Van. Can you guess who ruled that mobile roost?

That sounds like a 60s musical group.

Now for okra, fried is the only way DH will eat it but I had a lady from New Orleans teach me how to fix boiled okra with out the slime or also known as ropiness. It is wonderful cooked with tomatoes. Might just fix some for the GC@GL.

Steve glad you are better.
I loves Okra, raw, I feed it to the chickens.Even they have been known to put their noses up on that offering.

My DH is not interested in the RVMdom, but I do speak of it to him and hopefully he will warm up to this.
Barb, I am pondering joining the Prime status on Amazon. Are you a prime member? What do you think of it? I am interested in the shipping for free and the lending library.

Hi Judy - I am not Barb but have been Prime with Amazon a couple of years now. Have not done anything with the library - Annie is the book person - and does something with 14 day free books. Can't really comment on that - and she is using Kindle HD. As for the free shipping and ordering of Prime products - it saves me money - just have to be sure to "shop Prime". I have actually gotten things shipped free in one day. Just depends on where it's coming from.

As for your DH - Annie is not a Internet person - but she knows all about each and every RVM. She thinks all of you are grand. So while she doesn't read or post here - she is up to date on the comings and goings. As in right now - she is telling me she emailed some lending books to her mom but we aren't sure we're talking the same thing... Lol.

Judy,

I am an Amazon Prime member, but the cheap way. My DD and SIL pay for it and get so many tag-along memberships for free. Prime members are shown a different, slightly higher price on goods, I've noticed, but it's still cheaper in the long run. Sometimes the 2 day shipping is really nice. Other times I wish they'd offer me a cheaper cost for standard shipping.

My brother has it mainly so he can load free books on to his read-aholic 12 year old's Kindle. I wish I had unlimited data so I could take advantage of the free downloads. If you do, I think it's a great deal.

Clock says 0:00 so good night.

Just a place holder for when I get up in the morning and start browsing.

Sheesh! Several pages in just a few hours.

I do a free site called BookBub Book bub.com. Totally free to join. It doesnt give you books, but each day you get an email of books that are offered free or really cheap.... You get to choose the categories you are interested in, then you go to that site and download. Can be kindle, nook, amazon, apple.... But they are ebooks. Not sure if you wanted hardback.... The library where i live has online books as well. I have an old oruginal kindle, so i usually get that format, i can read them on my kindle, ipad, or iphone..., whichever is handiest. Each one picks up where i left off.

I thank you all for the prompt replies about Prime, I think it is something I will join once we get settled somewhere and I find out if we get internet with unlimited use. Thanks to Barb for reminding me of that.
I have a list of free download sites where I get emails with free book offers daily. But sometimes I like to read the latest from a favorite author. My library lets me "borrow" these for 2 weeks online, but in case we should move someplace without a digital library, I am looking for options.
So very pleased to see Steve is again able to post without crying. Poor guy was really sick.
