I never really thought about the fact that how I feel now is in part due to the steroids keeping things in check. Also - as tired as I have been - he said that was normal and recoveries are taking longer with this flu than in the past. I had not been out since getting this CRUD - but by the time I got to his office I was dizzy and light headed. I told him this was bugging me and he said - would ya rather be the next funeral - then said his last aunt - 81 years old died of this flu last week.

Ok... well that's my sad song. I do feel so much better but geesh... Did ya ever hear this rule of thumb - for ever day in bed sick - 3 days to get your strength back? That's what he said today. So fingers crossed - that I am actually well - and my strength is back by work time Monday.

Yup... and I think if over 50 add a day to that.... You just have to understand how hard your body has been working to rid itself of this disease....and yup, steroids tend to mask the symptoms, so you won't really know if you are better until they are out of your system.

My phone says 13 degrees outside... still... I keep waiting for it to get a little warmer before I go to do the dog walking thing, but poor things can't hold it forever! budle up baby 'cause here comes the dog walker! At least most of them don't mess around too long when it is this cold... they are indoor dogs and like the cold about as much as I do.

Year ago today it was 72 where I live... we had nearly that about a week ago...it's hard on plants, pets, and people to have the extreme weather changes.

Our friends in New York state claim their dogs (Beagle and Heinz 57) have set a new record for their nightly schedule. They're out the door 6 steps to the rose bush to Pee and then 5 steps to get under the evergreen to pooh and about a 8 step jog back to the door. Completed time about 60 seconds. They don't even put on the lead harnesses any more as the dogs just want out and right back in.

Still no snow over to this side Les, just this thick boring fog.

Checking in

We finally arrived at our CG in Ruskin, FL. Nicely set up CG with real grass in places between the MH's. (Just a small dig towards those at the mega parks in Mesa, Apache Junction, etc.)

Pictures forthcoming if I can ever figure out how to post pictures.

Boy, if I ever had any thoughts of looking at somewhere else to be this time of year, shame on me. Yes, I woke up to 37 this morning, but by 10 55, and 75 later today...
Gee, I almost feel guilty. (I said almost)

Oh ye wonderful mutants. I am posting what the name tags will look like at the GC@CL. Everyone that is signed up already will be receiving one. it has been suggested, "Ya wanna name tag - come to curiosity or $19.95 and self addressed stamped envelope to Tx City." The lanyards will be red-white-blue with a swivel hook. The name tags have exactly the same information on both sides. The swivel will allow it to flop around and still be readable - up close and personal - with glasses. Hee hee.

Most of it is self explanatory, but the 2013 is the year you became an RV Mutant. Barb, you didn't have a city, so you just get the State. This is going by the roster that is presently on file.
