Ya know I've never seen those guys copied by tribute bands but if I ever do I'll post it.

Jeff
Jeff the FMCA Michelin Advantage Price for 275/70R/22.5 is as RVM1 said just under $500 each + FET etc to Michelin and whatever Purcell charges for Mount - Balance - Disposal - etc. I have not read anything bad about Hankook's, but I'm going with Michelins.

As for Purcell's - I recently bought a pair.

And while mine low top Jack Purcells - whenever I wear my Cons I feel like this

And yes Mike - I remember, Cons are too heavy for you. But they make me feel like a kid again and even without a cape, I feel like I'm walking on sunshine. (Hat tip to Katrina and the Waves).

I think the place I'm using is a little high on their mount, balance, dispose, etc at about $90 a tire. But for me they are 1) A local business Plano Tire 2) been in business for years. 3) they also do RV inspections and have done Bonitas in the past 4) did some battery service for me resulting in a warranty swap of my house batteries. So I'm comfortable with them.

More to follow.

Are your tires worn out? No tread, or are you replacing them due to age? When dealer starts talking disposal fee tell him you have a friend in the trucking business that will buy them from you for use on trailer. We got something like $65.00 to $75.00 per tire as the dealer wanted to have them for resale as used. Call a couple of the dealers you are talking with and have them price you a used tire for a spare or something and see what price they will sell your used tires for that they also charged you a disposal fee for.

Two places have told me they don't sell used tires - and they pay to have them hauled away. One was the small Freightliner place up the road a bit. I questioned them paying for removal. They said nothing is free around here, we dont sell used tires, and we pay to have them removed. They also said I could save myself the disposal fee and take em with me. No thanks. Not in the mood and at their size and weight - not really sure where I'd put them. I don't have a truck and I know Annie isn't going to let me roll em on in while I drive around trying to sell em. I read the posts - hear people do this and say it - but I have never been able to get any money for a used tire. Bad luck I guess.

I did not ask the place where I'm getting the Michelin Advantage Program, but I have been there. No old skins hanging in trees or stacked up in the corners. This place actually had 5 of the 6 I need on the shelf with < 6 month date codes. I told him I'd want them as new as possible. He said they'd come from Michelin and the ones he did a week ago were around 3 months old. We shall see.

My 670's actually look pretty good and are 39th week of '07. So I have time but I'm also the second owner - and don't know their full history. The time seems right to me. Their age is close - I have the money - it's down time - and GC @ CL is coming. Yippee.

Jim, just getting around to responding. Mary's just got back in town and I showed her this pic of the Rubi. She was concerned the Lone Star Flag may have left some unwanted effects on the vehicle, such as long neck bottles rolling around in the back or aroma of bull _hips. lol

Looking forward to April. I want to be there when that Texas Convoy rolls in!

On the tires, when I purchased mine I told them I wanted a DOT code of within 6 months of the date of purchase. Worked for me. I think the RV tires go out the door so fast that the DOT codes are all withing a short time of purchase.
