Quick before we lose contact: We had a Coast Guard escort leaving harbor.

He ran switchbacks back and forth past us, flashed his lights, and then loudspeakered a wish that we enjoy our vacation.

Then, folks in the highrises and on the beach rang cowbells and waved and took our picture:

It seems to be a tradition. YouTube carries lots of videos of these sailaways, including date and name of vessel. One who posts a lot of these is Cruise Ship Man, in case you want to take a look.

Cheers, y'all. We'll be back soon.

Does anyone wonder if Mike and Harriet forgot they're in a land vessel now and tried driving off a pier somewhere? Or maybe pirates absconded with their new land yacht?

Has anyone heard from them?

I think Steve talked to them. Mike said they are having manifold problems so they are getting fixed I think.

Earlier today I was out working in the back yard building something for the DW and it was so warm I was down to my Tee Shirt and jeans.

Now its snowing.. OK already, we don't have Palm Trees.

All you snowbirds don't have to do the dewinterizing routine! I been at it all day. Disinfecting tanks, rinsing and putting a bit of water back in, making sure to get the Hot water tank full.
Where did all the dust come from? And making the bed, restocking the cupboards, replacing all the liquid cleaning supplies and spray cans and trying to remember where exactly I stored it all.
Now our Kansas permits got lost in the mail, So I called and they are sending new ones but they won't get here in time. So we have to get someone to come get them from our PO Box and forward them.
Good Grief! How much easier you full time rainbow riders have it!

I sing before or after bourbon. Some may not call it singing. Works good in the shower, and if I have a good back-up group on karaoke night. YMMV

Sue, my goodness, will you have your land legs back before the GC?

I can never cruise without a balcony. :-)

Had a long no phone signal day NE of Flagstaff.

1st, Sunset Crater Nat'l Monument. It is unique because it formed less than 1000 years ago and the local Native Americans still talk about it. The got out while the ground shook just before the big show, and still tell of the "curtain of fire" as it erupted.

2nd was the Wupatki Pueblo. These folks built the pueblo in about 800 and left in about 1100 CE, but were around for the big show from Sunset Crater. They were in the business of trading with travelers that came through this route, and also terrace-farmed. And in the gnarly root of a dead Ponderosa Pine I found a horse!

Each Native American ruin we have ever visited was unique in its construction, and was built for some common but many different reasons. This one had some really awesome landscape to go with it.

The San Francisco Peaks at Flagstaff made a nice backdrop, aye?

Judy... I'll vouch for you... but I don't think you need permits to come to Kansas....
