Sorry to depress anyone suffering bad weather, but we've been Staying by the Salton Sea State park in California. Today we took a drive around the lake, stopped for lunch at the Johnsons Landing. We then stopped at a small general store, got some stuff for supper .
The lake was beautiful in the middle of desert and mountains. Very close by is the Anza-Borrego state park on S22. The scenery was breath taking. The temps were high seventies. Shortly before the State park is BLM land and the boondockers looked like they were all parked on the edge of cliffs, just sitting in chairs soaking everything in.

It was Etherical. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Pictures to come as soon as we get them off camera.

ID:	59880 A great egret named Charlie flew in to see if treats were available and walked around on the dock's tin roof inspecting us for a few minutes before flying off up-lake. I took video, but can't seem to upload it from the iPhone. Will try later. Cheers! Sue

Gosh! Doesn't anyone have sympathy or care about Possum's dead computer?

Did U Know:
  • The Salton Sea is 235' below sea level
  • El Centro is the winter home of the Blue Angels
  • The Algodones Dunes is the largest area of sand dunes in CA

Had an installation job in Mexicali several years ago. Had a blast while in the area there. Enjoy it!!
