I want to thank Barb and Dennis for keeping tabs for us and Barb especially for giving us a face to go with the name the other day... As she reminded us all - it was just 3 weeks ago when she visited with him at his home.

So I guess we may never know what all was in that attic of his. And we've probably seen the last of his den / office / machine room and the picture of the giant beer.... And heard the last of his beloved Sadie, sand rail, trailer, trailer hitch, he and the rail at the dunes, and lord knows what other pics and stories he shared with all of us on iRV2.

On the other thread it's nice to read the posts of those he helped and shared with - but for some of us - the crazies who have tried to kill another thread for a while now - Mike was one of those that - when ya didn't hear from for a while - you just went looking. And he'd do the same. It even happened here on this thread. Ya just knew when the guy was missing...

When this thread first started - and he joined in as RVM23 he told me - I'm not sure I get it but your all having fun so I'm in. And in he was.

So here we are - saddened by the loss of a friend most of us never met. Life is good, but it's not for meek.

And that's all I have to say about that.
Hey Steve, For those Mutants that have left us for their final journey, perhaps in your grand list, there should be an RIP beside their join number.

Gone but not forgotten.

I log in to Yahoo to access the Groups. I use web email because I prefer it, though not Yahoo. I like Gmail and I don't see any advertisements because I have set my preferences to eliminate them. I like web based mail because I can access it easily from any internet connected device.

But let me just say it aloud. None of the rest of us should be in any hurry to join the ranks of the RVM GA brigade. We need you here. Mike is very capable of handling things from up there without any help.

I got to know Mike a little through email. I have a few recipes for homemade ensure-type drinks that we emailed back and forth about. Unfortunately, I don't think they helped much.

Yesterday I was on the road for business, driving through beautiful country, right along the spine of Skyline Drive, and hadn't read emails all day.

I saw a rainbow and thought "Mike has passed." I don't know how I knew, but I did...and it makes me sad. Mike was one of a kind. We are all better for having known him.

There is a unique bond that seems to bind us mutants together. When one hurts, we all hurt. We share so much more than laughter and joy. Elizabeth you are so right. We are all better for having known Mike. Just as we are all better because we know you and all mutants.

Mike will continue to guide us as we journey thru this life. I feel blessed for having been able to hug him.

Well, on the MAC I use MAC Mail, on the PC I use Thunderbird (Free). Whenever I'm using a computer other than mine I use Web Mail. You don't want to know why, but I have over 10 email accounts. (Goes back to my IT Security days) and every one of them are forwarded to my one email address. Most of them are my "throw away" email and when the junk gets to much I just delete it and create another one.

So there back atchya.

Just posted something in another forum and used the term "nooks and crannies". After I did, it dawned on me that it is a term seldom used by anyone who did not watch the first landing on the moon. Meaning ... it is an old-timer's term. So now, has there EVER been a solid definition for a crannie being different from a nook? Have I, all these years, been redundant?

Man, it hurts to think this deeply. Need to take a mid-morning nap.

Are going to ponder on this or mull it over?
