Don and Sandee

Barb and I will keep you and Sandee's dad and family in our prayers. We had to bury Barb's mom a couple of years ago and we understand your loss. Celebrate her long life and keep her in your hearts and thoughts. God bless you all.

Don and Sandee,
Wishing peace for your family, it seems that even when it is imminent and finally happens, the loss is still great!
May good blessings and oms help you all heal spiritually.

We are doing a mutated variant on the traditional 12 Step Program - seeing friends - righting wrongs - and such -
And on the fun side - going to all of our favorite places.

This week we get 2 birds with one stone. We get to have dinner with one of my dearest friends here in DFW - wish him a happy birthday - while having the best Hibachi dinner anywhere - Kobe Steak House in Addison Tx. The whole going full time is not cheap - but - taking a vacationers look at your "home turff" is fun and a worthwhile expense. Honestly - we don't take enough advantage of the things the place has to offer. Couple reasons for that I suppose - I am tired of driving the area... - if you live somewhere there is no sense of urgency... oh it will be there... and of course the idea of not coming back for an unknown time raises the urgency... still do not like the traffic though...
It sounds like my last month before having gastric bypass surgery. I went thru the process of saying goodbye to all my favorite foods and fast food restaurants.

Now, more than 10 years after surgery, I find I can revisit all my old favorites. I do only take a taste and I often question why I enjoyed them. The fun is gone from food, but I really don't miss it.

Change is never easy for us humans, but the excitement of new adventures allows change to happen in our lives.

Don and Sandee, it is sad and hard losing a parent to the ever after when you aren't there too... Just know you are not alone in the loss, for when one mutant hurts on the rainbow, we all hurt. prayers.
