I'm with you on your new favorite. Looks like a good full timer set up.

As for slides. I don't have one and I don't miss it. I've heard about too many problems with them -- leaks, not wanting to go in or out. If you need more elbow room go outside. The RV is for sleeping, showering and hauling your stuff from place to place.

On the washer/dryer. Here again, no have, no miss. Once you give up the indentured servitude some call a job, your wardrobe will change. My wardrobe is mostly jeans, shorts and T-shirts.

I no longer toss clothes into the hamper unless they are truly dirty. The only thing I always change daily is undies and they don't take up much space. I have enough to go at least a month without doing laundry.

When I'm parked at a family or friend's house, I use their laundry room every week or so. When we're traveling I pick a nice smaller town and find the local laundromat that has the giant size washers -- but only Tuesday - Thursday when they are pretty deserted. I park close and start yanking out everything washable.

In 3 hours I can wash and dry a month's worth of clothes, and all the bedding, even the pillows if Sena has goobered them up. I don't sit and watch the washer spin. I go back into our home after setting the alarm on my phone for when it's time to move stuff to the dryers. I sort by maximum temperature and pay more attention to drying so that clothes come out ready to hang or fold as unwrinkled as possible.

From what I have heard about the RV laundry machines I wouldn't have one. They hold very little, tend to shake the whole coach and they take forever, especially the combo units. AND you must be connected to AC power to use them so forget about letting the laundry run while you are parked beside that beautiful mountain lake.

I'm hoping Di, who admits she loves hers, will give you a more experienced account of doing laundry in an RV. I just know that if you plan properly, going to a laundromat isn't torture.

Mel - search for threads on Washer Dryer Combo - big debate - almost as big as gas or diesel.

We have the combo and would not be without. A small load or two a day - and never see the inside or parking lot of a laundrymat. Dave and Nola don't have and don't miss - to each their own. But I would never say don't get a coach because it has one. You can always go to a laundrymat. Of course if you find one with stackable washer / dryer - vs combo vs none.... Heck a Conestoga Wagon would be fun to live in for a while.... 😂😁😂

So here's Sue's take on laundry systems: before we had one, I didn't miss it. Now that we do, I love it.

Ours is a stack, so is a more efficient system than a combo, and we don't mind if it shakes up the house a bit. I could wish for the cupboard space it takes up, but I'm a mutant, so I don't.

What I like is the convenience more than anything. Plus, it's a built in hamper. Splendide seems to be a good make and is, so far, trouble free. Touching wood!

Oh I'm here Steve just Lurkin in the shadows. Yep still need those healing ooohhhms for my BIL who is my business partner. His test reports were pretty bad so we've been discussing moving forward to sell the company so we can both finally retire full time. His heart is bad and docs say there is nothing they can do. Sooo, it seems I will hAve to stay close till we get a buyer. Met with a broker this week so who knows what the future holds. Have to wait and see.

My friend Gary is struggling with his cancer battle too. We are leaving tomorrow to go to Canton with him and his wife to just get away for a long weekend and browse the First Monday trades day.

Soooo, we are fine personally but sure is a full plate around us right now. Wish we could make Rockport but that is definitely out this year.

Thought I had..... W/D Growing up, my father owned a dry cleaners, not a laundry, so until I went to college even jeans were drycleaned, just not undies, towels or sheets... I got really used to clean clothes always.... Even when i lived 120 mikes away, i would take my coats etc home to him....
It is a habit with me more than a NEED..... I like doing small loads each day or every 3 days as needed.... I have a SPLENDIDE all in one unit, which uses steam and therefore very little water.... It is very common in Europe.... Have no problems, shake is minor and only for a short time... I use the extremely concentrated detergent from CW, only use a teaspoon... Yes really... Just now bought my second box.... Wrinkles, yes some, and it took some time learning how long to set it for to get minimum wrinkles and max dryness.
But as I did say it was my main request.... I am not a good laundromat sitter, and I HATE piles of dirties.... On first trip out in July, pup got major carsick, was so glad i could just wash.... As there was no laundromat nearby in the Buffalo River National Park...

My rv has tons of storage, and Larry has built more into areas that were voids... Not full time, never intend on it, but i have empty storage...
