I saw a girl in Vegas that said the whole alphabet and her microphone was up her skirt. I think that outdoes de-evolves the female of the species.

Good morning mutants. Foggy morning here. Going to hit the grocery store early today in hopes of beating the Super Bowl shoppers.
It's 61 degrees headed to 70 today with the on again off again 10% chance of rain. All in all a pretty decent day ahead.
Have fun out there and if anyone sees Papaw Steve blow by tell em hello from the RGV.

I remember a tune that will fit the moment, and then Google it, Mel. Helps to have good long term memory. Short memory, questionable.

Do all adolescent boys have burping contests? Our next-to-youngest was SO proud of the fact that he could say the entire alphabet through one burp. I'm not kidding. It was just gross and ridiculous; but he could do it. My 85-year-old friend Marge just laughs and says "Males are not as highly evolved as females." But what does she know? She raised 6 daughters. I would not have traded places with her for all the cheese in Wisconsin, all the wine in Napa, all the cattle in Texas or all the oldies in Dave's record collection.

If you tell a boy "that's disgusting" it becomes a badge of honor. And when 2 or more have been roughhousing in a room, there is the smell of acrid boy sweat.
Making fart noises is another favorite. Pal of my grandson was particularly gifted at licking his hand (for a good "seal") and making armpit rips. And repeat. (EEEEWW)
BTW, my collection of 45s was over 5 feet tall. 33s about 3 feet. Donated to a charity.

I haven't been on in AGES but what a great time to get back in. You mention boys burping, but we were at Lake Dawgs yesterday for lunch and my 3-year-old son said "don't burp under the table or the booby monster will come out..." Before I could clarify he must have meant the boogy monster (although he goes by Bloody Bones in our house) my husband, of 37 years of age, let forth a belch that could have teared your eyes from across the street. And then he grinned at me - hopeful the booby monster really would show up....
Anyway- I suppose burping could do a lot of things! It however, isn't curing this grumpadump feeling I've had for days now! I can't figure out why it's there. We are full timing in the Arab again, our house is being packed today to move to Arizona, adventure is on the horizon and my St Johns Wort isn't doing a darn thing... Anyone have a suggestion on getting back to that rainbow??!!? I miss it-
Becky

RVM80... following your adventures are a mutant hoot.
I know there is little time for much of anything for you alone given you have a Curiosity going every day - but kids dogs fish and Flyboy and your Web and writings... well I'm tired and borderin on grumpadump just writing about it here... perhaps it's time for moms day out.... I've always said, and told people - you are not what you do. Breakaway from that now and then no matter how rewarding and much you love it. Take some time for you. If you can't breakaway for a day, make a game out of it. Steal the time when you see the opportunity to treat yourself to just being you. Even if for only 15 minutes. Let yer hair down.. That's my 2 cents...
Have a great day. The rainbow is there for you!!

Now that would be a Curiosity of a different color. I don't think we've had a fish with us before...
