Yes, you will grin in your sleep and visit (insert RV name here) often, to gaze at him/her and conjure visions of a campfire casting its flickering glow onto the side of your new prize, and ponder many Journeys!

Which made me wonder - if one was full-timing and bought a new RV, they don't go through that feeling, I guess the transfer from old to new is where that reality happens? Must be just as neat though, anyone with that experience?

Next, we parked Fred and Gwen door to door in Jan 2014 and started transferring. The 1st half hour was "well this goes here and that goes there". It then turned into "Smash N Stash for the next FOUR hours. Sheesh!
And Gwen was cavernous! Woof.
Fred was very special and had all of the form, fit, and function that we desired. Purely a grand time on the Rainbow! But when we went to Quartzsite on that fateful day, just to see the crowds of rigs boondocking in the kitty litter, Nola saw the sign for the RV show. "It doesn't cost anything to look", she said.
RV newness never wears off. Memories are created that burn into the synapses, and the Journey automatically becomes the Destination.
BTW, retiring made me grin in my sleep. Going F/T made it a WIDE grin! The Rainbow Ride is just icing on the cake, y'all, and some of you know zactly how that feels!
I could go on and on....

While on this trip.

We arrived at our destination after our journey, set up and took care in placing items in their respective places. We are still in our site after 5 nights.

Every day since arriving Earlene has awakened only to be tired a few hours later and often in the afternoon. She never takes naps but in this case she would go back to bed around 10 a.m., and again in the afternoon she might take a nap. This is unusual for her and it became a concern as to why in the world she is so tired all day long.

Upon arrival we put our daily medication in specific areas, most likely as other people do, so we remember to take them. I placed mine in my favorite place and she did the same to hers. No, we did not get them mixed up. She also placed her thyroid medicine next to her daily take of medicines. Or so she thought.

Earlene has sleeping aid medicine but rarely takes it. However, she does take thyroid medicine upon arising, and, for four mornings her thyroid has gotten a lot of sleep instead.

Go figure. Today is a good day for a good day - for her as she'll be awake most of the day.

p.s., I have permission to post this.

Di,
The Greek to English translation is:

"Githolpspsps teedss"

I guess I just don't understand your English. You must have been a teacher in your former life.

R U an RV Mutant too?

For some of us, this was our 1st RV. No wheels but easily portable.
Some RV dreams start in the formative years!
Mine were more elaborate, especially in sunmer when we used chaise lounges, picnic tables, bikes.....
Planned a campfire in one. Mom found out.
My first real RV was my bike with a pup tent strapped to the handlebars.
(Thanks for the pic, Steve)
