Well, that and she works at a dr. office and doesn't get a lot of vacation without jumping through a ton of hoops, so she chose the once and be done route.

Well, to tell you the truth, Marty, I asked the surgeon about doing them at the same time. Knew Barb went that route and know a few others who did, too. But, he told me there was not an ortho surgeon in the country who would do both of mine at the same time. Reason being, he said, that open fracture I had in July 2014 on the right knee sent the infection-risk off the chart. In other words, it had a far greater risk of infection than a knee that did not go through an open fracture and 2 surgeries. He did my left knee first and thank GOD he didn't do both of them at the same time. You know about the many problems I had with that one! I would have been up Ortho Creek with no paddle had he done them both together. But second one has been a piece of cake compared! And they BOTH were a cakewalk, compared to the right rotator cuff repair I had in Sept. 2013. Enough is enough, though. Kate is really tired of me having ortho surgeries.

Dave, hang on to that stuff. We will need it when Barb does surgery on Waynes noggin to fill the holes.

You were so wise to do them at the same time. If I could've done that, we would be leaving, oh, about NOW for Arizona!

Stuff usually clumps in 3's so I'd say you are done for awhile...done paid your dues to the ortho dudes anyway!

Mel if all goes well we will be at your big party in April.
Barb, your prize for getting the 50K post is a phone call from Mizzie and me.
Congratulations, from Denise and I
Our arrival in southern California is on hold because of mother nature hitting highway 5 with a wild snow and wind storm. I've driven big semi trucks on the highway in winter but have never experiened wind and snow combinations like what's out there right now. Found a friendly RV site in a cool little town named after a plant I'm allergic to so here we sit.
More later. Denise and I an the pups are about to go outside and start a snowball fight.
