Yaknow sumpin. That may be worth missing the mooning for. I am pretty sure Larry will be all over this.

Mary and Tim and of course the parents. Best wishes and congratulations on having 2 newborns in the family. Remember that your job is to spoil them solidly and then send them home. That's a rule sanctioned by the MOAA (Mutants of America Association).

BTW, I think that favor Mary also.

Oh! Another thing. We sitting near the intersection of I 10 and US 231. Our goal tomorrow is to reach Goodlettesville, TN (northern suburb of Nashville).

Just leave it alone. It'll fall over eventually!

<Sung to the tune of OKLAHOMA!>. Arid-Zona where wind comes blowing o're the dunes. Yep, the wind is a blowing here near Page, AZ. Oh, wait ... I think I'm in Utah, or am I? My phone says it's 6:45 but my iPad says it't 5:45 -- Arizona time. I'm so confused.

The one thing I'm not confused about is the dang wind. I'm in the only boondock site on Lake Powel accessible by roads. It's called Lone Rock and I passed over the AZ-UT border about 50 feet before the right turn lane began. And then the road went SE so we may be straddling the fence here.

I started this morning at a very non-Mutant hour of 6:15. Seven am was the only time the laundromat clerk said I could be assured of getting one of the JUMBO machines. Since it was either do laundry today or go commando tomorrow, I hauled my weary self out of sweet slumber.

By 11:00 I had finished all intown duties and headed across the dam and north on US-89. I found a level enough spot and laid down for a nap. I awoke to violent rocking and looked out to see sand blowing past us and down into the gulley only 20 feet away.

Once I got us headed into the wind things calmed down a bit, and I just sat in the driver's seat watching the tumble weeds roll by. What an efficient method they have for scattering seeds!

Weather.com says we are under a wind advisory until 11 tonight. Hmm, I wonder which 11 pm? It started off simply marvelous this morning -- sunny, mid 60s and calm. It's now heavy clouds, 65 degrees with winds at 30 mph gusting to 45. Sounds like a good night to konk out early.

Y'all be safe out there!

Speaking of deer stands!
Today I along with contractor and helper took a load of old shingles off of my S&B to the county dump. 4 tons of old shingles! While we were unloading them a deck building contractor pulls up and starts unloading several treated boards off an old deck he had replaced. Of course you know what happened next. Off with the shingles, on with the treated lumber. I'm like an artist with used wood!

Tim, it would seem that the stars have aligned to put you at the right place at just the right time to score some prime building materials. We know you'll be expanding your deer stand to accommodate the 2 new grandsons, Finn and Fletcher. And yes, we all understand that deer hunting in Arkansas is about as sacred as any activity done outside the walls of church. But artistry is something to be judged by a jury of your pe... uh, by a jury of Mutants. We will await photographic evidence of said renovations and will, in due course, judge their worthiness.

Hammers up! You may begin!

How I love a challenge! If only there was a Ladies Leg Lamp (like Christmas Story) as grand prize!

Barb I was just talking about you yesterday, telling some friends of your travels and how you post your adventures. We were discussing how they are doing away with cursive writing in school and next will be creative writing. The funniest thing was we were well into our discussion before I thought to add, oh, she travels with a monkey and dog too! Of course that lead to various stories you've shared where you played "the monkey card".
