In MN, the fall harvest of fresh beef and pork was celebrated with freshly ground raw meat, with onion and spices, in a huge bowl. It was shared at the local pub. Crackers optional. There were never any leftovers!
Some folks don't appreciate the delicacy, the joy, of the foods I grew up with.

I used to eat steak tartare, but I stopped about 50 years ago. I believe there was some food borne illness in the news at the time. Mad cow disease, maybe? After that it no longer was appealing.

But I still like my steak medium rare. After all, I was born and raised in Texas. My folks bought a side of beer and had it cut to order. Most Sundays my Dad grilled steaks. Yum!

Well....... it took 2 months to receive reimbursement from our out of pocket expenses from FMCA.... and for some reason they have not reimbursed almost $600..... dont know what they disallowed... They are not easy to get in touch with... no explanation was enclosed....

It is still better than being out all of those dollars, but Other than the air ambulance, I made all of the other arrangement because they were not in any hurry to get our pups and rv back, and it was costing me daily....

But, i still think it was great to have the insurance coverage.

Some good news is better than no good news. But, I'd stay after them, they may be playing the "just how much trouble will they go through to collect" game! Insurance adjusters are low on my list! Of course now I'll hear about that statement from others!

I've been a member since we got Bonita - 5 years. I won't let it lapse.

Things that are handy...
1. The build sheets.
2. Taking a pic while the carpet is being done.
3. Taking a pic of the work area.
4. A probiotic drain cleaner.
5. Something to poke the offending clog with.
6. A couple of days to let thing work their way out. And the patience of a mutant.

Lol.... stay after them........ the poor guy, Jonathan, that answered me 5 weeks ago, got tired of my every 3 day contact email....

Now I am turning it over to Larry.... he wont be as charming.... yes I was still southern nice every time...

But it was a blessing, and even if I never got any other reimbursement, the air ambulance was worth the yearly fee...... they paid them direct, but I do know it was over $16,000. Yep, right number of zeroes... and that was a no hassle, they did all contacts and plans.....

Smile.... i am ok with it all..... actually I am extremely thankful....

Btw, we now have a generator at home, gas/propane.... easy to start and all of the cords we need to hook up..... so that is comforting...

Di I glad they covered what they did for you two but I would be asking for an explanation at least. Maybe say that our RV group that all joined when this happened would like to understand what they disallowed for our own reference.

Hey we have friends with 2 boys being moved from Texas to The Kent location. They want to buy a 5th wheel to live in for a while. We are concerned that the Jayco's they sell here won't be good enough. So any ideas of what might be good?

They do want a lot in the 5th wheel 2nd room with bunk beds and a second bath too.

They will need a brand that can handle extreme rain and cold weather. Any ideas or input? We went straight to class A's :-)

I see a lot of Cedar Creek 5th wheels, but I don't know much about them. But 5th wheels like Class A's get more expensive the more you add to them.

Before our Class A we had a Cedar Creek 5er. Very tight well built coach with no problems while we owned it. I now have a 30' Jayco that I use at deer camp. It's a 98' that is in great shape. I would recommend either as worth the money.
