Wayne how's the outlook for y'all?
Thanks for asking. We are not leaving town. Looks like the brunt of it will be East of us. Jeanie, Dave and Bob are more likely in the path and I think Jeanie is out of town leaving poor ol' Dave all alone.

He can come here if he needs to evacuate and bring Ranger with him. Miy and Ranger get along fine. Only pup she will put up with, or is it the other way around. I get that mixed up with me and Earlene.

Trust me, any thing other than just a storm and we'll be boarded up and leaving town.

Carl and everyone. I would STRONGLY suggest you take US 20 if you will be crossing Oregon after dark. Hwy 26 has too many curves and odd narrow spots. Besides you'll miss the whole reason for taking the scenic rote. If you check the time estimates of both you'll see that the mileage is close, but the time is hours different.

Yep once DDT was out of the environment the raptors all rebounded. But the endangered species act has provisions for revision written into the law.

Bald Eagles are also protected by 2 other laws that don't.

I got the list of RVMoon attendees and their booked dates from Laurie. We have 19 total booked, but 3 that I know will be canceling. We will lose priority over these sites soon so anyone who is thinking about joining us to see the eclipse needs to speak up now.

Oregon is gonna get really busy with Eclipse Fever. Since the eclipse path also goes thru Idaho, I suspect most of the traffic will come from the north and south and not the east. I-5 is likely to be insane.

Hey Electrojake! Come join us for the party of the century!

Oregon? Thanks but not quite yet.
Psst... Keep this a secrete but I’m a complete rookie. Heck, I've never been west of Pittsburgh.

BTW, this is one heck of a fast moving group…
I’ve seen 4 complete topic changes in the last five or six posts.
Feathers, eagles, soup, tropical storms, pesticides, etc…

You guys run this thread full throttle.

Yep, and we have a blast along the way! It is why it's wise to read this thread twice daily and every day! When you keep up with the thread and then finally get to meet in person it's quite magical. These folks have become the best part of my family -- that part without all the family drama.

There is talk of having a GC (rally) in Michigan's upper peninsula in September 2018. Perhaps you'll be able to join us there.

It's only the beginning. Wait until Tim gets on a roll.

Thanks Wayne, haven't had anything to eat since midnight, Dr appointment at 11:20. Standard stuff but with a new primary care physician. My old one retired, and leading up to retirement we spent more time talking about RVing than my health!

Think I'll have a hot roll when I get out. With honey. And chicken. And a brownie. And sweet tea. And ice cream. And cobbler.

Now that sounds like a plan!
Thanks for the invite!

In the meantime I'll be following the thread.
Consider it part of my RVer's on-line training program.

I was thinking just that on my way to the store today where I had to sit in traffic for a minute or whatever and had a nice shot of farmland off to the side. Would've looked good on a DSLR, just another "blah" landscape shot on my iPhone. (sure it might have looked OK, just not as good)
I thought I saw someplace during the last year there was a phone you could put a better lens on to make better pictures ... or there was a company doing special lenses to clip on your phone... maybe not just any phone...

So help me out... did you pass the highly grueling mutant exam and get your official RVM #... been sort of busy and my memory is clouded with visions of trains and lakes and rainbows that I don't recall.

If so, I apologize. If not... Tell more of what you 8 footer doesn't have and You Don't Miss or Need... And declare the Journey is the Destination! Etc. Etc. Etc. Said in my best Yul Brynner.
