Welcome RVM161! Another Dennis, I see. I have just sent you 2 emails with helpful info about our little group, but you must have been marking for a while, given your grasp of the lingo.

We'll toast to you and all the other missing Muteys during the eclipse. There are farmers in Oregon renting out pasture land to RVers wanting a front row seat on August 21st. That might help you get to FT a bit sooner if you are so inclined.

It wasn't me. It never is, ask Earlene. It was keyboard problems. I yam RVM#14 and I know it's RE_Farmer. Dennis has a grip on this and knows by now how foolish y'all are. Boko gave him the bird and now he doesn't want to hear my theme song.

Y'all are going to be sorry!

Those of you from the east passing through South Dakota on I 90 to/from the great mooning and other spots.. Chamberlain has a new statue that lights up at night at the rest stop there... inside the rest stop is stuff about Lewis and Clark's expedition... Take a few minutes while you fly through to take a gander... it's well worth the stop is what I've been told... Her name is Dignity.

Oh, and the journey is the destination.

BTW, any RVMs near the central U.S. that can't make the OR GC mooning are welcome to stop by our northeast KS farm which is dead center for the eclipse (just off US 36 & 73). We can can crank up the ice-cream maker, plenty of milk & cream fresh from the cow.
Welcome RVM161! Thanks for the invite but we are heading to the RVMooning in Oregon. We are in Idaho so when you go FT, you're welcome to come our way.

OH man, now I have to choose between I-94 and I-90 on the return route. Dang it! Or I detour @ I-29 just to go see it, but I'm not likely to spend time site-seeing on this trip. Dang. I love stuff like that at rest areas and all. I'll have to figure out my timing and if it's possible to see it at night, all the more frustrating to decide

It's 7 pm and flaming here in Caldwell Idaho. 100+ and hot. Lookks like we will be doing afternoon day trips for sure. Not much in the way of shade around here either. Which explains the lack of activity. Don't even hear much from the pool. Adults only after 8.

First time I've seen diesel over $3 bucks in a while. The Flying J discount will keep us just under $3.

Steve, and all. It's 110 degrees now, but was hotter earlier.
We were going to boondock in Quartzsite but the heat changed our minds.

We'll be in Acton, Ca. tomorrow for some cooler weather. Maybe 2 or 3 d.

Glad to be out on the road again.

Drive safely, and see you up north.

Hi RE_Farmer, I'm not a farmer but 3 of my great grandparents families were (for what it's worth). Wayne's theme song isn't really that bad, warning people about it is one of the running jokes here within the group. There are several others you'll discover after you've been here a while...

Here for a couple of days at Onawa, IA, then northward through Sioux City and west to Rapid City, SD, to see Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and hang out for a week or so (yes, and a stop at Wall Drug too). Can any Mutants recommend a good campground in the Rapid City area, Good Sam atlas shows about 20 and I'd like to cull that a little...

We have stayed at Rafter J Bar Ranch a few times, fairly nice, but has been a few years.

Hart Ranch and Rafter J.
Been years for both I would do either again. Nice digs.

We came home for one night to wash clothes and then we'll head back to my dad's tomorrow. It's hot here too. It is currently down to 80 in the house. We have no air conditioner. I'm missing all the trees that we cut down. lol. To bad we are only 5 hours apart right now. If we could, we'd take a drive.

Dale says, if you would have gone to McCall, it would of been cooler. (I'll wack him for you).
