Ok... I gotta say... what a difference a day makes. Chatty group today. I tried to check in up at the lake but no signal. So I check Wi-Fi and the Cafe Gift Shop Visitor and Employee networks show up. So I chance connecting and the $4/hr window pops up. No thanks. Man. Wonder how much it will be on 8/21... eclipse connection upcharge $75... beats $400 I guess (And am flabbergasted to hear that).

These things are huge, and unpleasant to say the least.

Dang, I hate getting up early for no reason! Was going to bring the RV in for some additional maintenance work and as I went to start it I hear this big popping noise. Thought, that can't be good and then proceeded to listen for the engine noise. Nada. Then looked outside and saw smoke pouring out of the battery compartment. That can't be good. Opened the compartment and it was quite obvious at that point what happened - one of the chassis batteries exploded and blew 1/3 of the side off of it! Unreal. So, no service today other than me running to get two new chassis batteries.

Oh yea, they were scheduled to be replaced today!!! Ugh, couldn't even get to the service shop to get it done.

Ouch!
I do hope you see the good side of this?
Could have been on some desolate rest area far far away from any services and messing with your schedule! Now let's hope the coast of the new batteries and having to reset the clock on your radio are the only set back you have. If you need help setting the clock, I have friends in the IT business!

Sad

I was setting in floor in front of my radio just last night getting my clock on the radio the clock on my Freightliner dash information screen and my phone all in sync. I hate the clocks being different.

We hit the rode in about an hour.

Finally!

Rolling rolling rolling
Finally we are rolling
Going to a GC, Oh My!

Through rain and wind and weather
My friends will meet together
I've got my baby by my side!

Get um up, get um out
Ride em in, ride um out
See you at the GC, Oh My! (Hope I don't get a rawhide from this)

Mid to high 90's today in western Kansas and finally in Ft. Collins, CO. Get to Estes Park tomorrow for a 3 day stay. Rocky Mountain National Park is again in my future. Pics to follow.

I love the park. So many beautiful twists and turns in the road along roaring waters and cliffs in the air! I have a growing list of places I've seen that trigger the senses to overload. You can't take it all in at once and there's this feeling you get... when the totality of it overwhelms.

Travel safe mutants!
