Left Walla Walla this a.m. at 7:45 PT. Arrived in Missoula this p.m. at 4:45 MT. In between was a wonderful drive. I would highly, I say highly, recommend the drive on US 12 outta Lewiston (eastbound) or outta Missoula (westbound). We averaged about 45 mph through the valleys, next to three different rivers, and a railroad. Slow down enjoy the views. Stop at a riverside turn-out for lunch. Just motor gently and enjoy.

I envy Dale and Deb. Orofina is in the middle of gorgeous valleys, peaks, and rivers. Sorry we couldn't meet up at your homeplace.

The Journey is the Destination has been nearly a life long motto for us. So I guess we come by it naturally. [emoji854]

We don't have a ton of things. Seriously it's a very lengthy list, and we miss not a bit of it.

Concrete, pavement, restaurants, strip malls, malls, and so much more. No need for it. But we also don't miss or need slideouts, cable, satellite tv, glass plates, and the hustle and bustle.

Montana? She's deep, tall, wide, and unforgiving when she's 'cross'. But we love her...

Still handing out #'s? Do I qualify from so far off the beaten journey path?

MTSam, someone will be along shortly and hand you a number. In the meantime, welcome. If you read above you know what I'm like and would love to send you my theme song when you are on the other media.

We are still hanging in there with just windy rain. Sunday and Monday is supposed to be our bad days for possible flooding. However, the spaghetti models have the storm, Harvey, turning around and and heading in all kinds of directions.

Storm surges have hit Galveston and the West side of Galveston past the end of the seawall is under voluntary evacuation. Most of the houses down that area are on 12+ high stilts since hurricane Ike so flooding should not be much of a problem. Storm surges can wipe out foundations. Time will tell how they all did.

Prayers still welcome this way that we miss it all.

p.s., one model has it making a left turn, arcing out and returning to the gulf then heading towards Louisiana. If that happens it could intensify and become a strong hurricane again. Screwy storm.

Hi Yah Wayne. Surprised to hear from yah. How's that storm going so far? Still a three? We don't get much info up here about ya'll but sure wish you the best! I have done some biggies. Hugo and Opal as well as TS that were pretty nasty squalls in their own right. Again, wishing everyone on the gulf safe passage as he comes thru.

Send it along. Do I need to brace for this? [emoji6].

Well I can tell ya this much... you nailed the requirements!

I'm going to make an executive decision... and assign you RVM163...

Laurie - RiverMt is RVM162....

There is need for executive decision here because Dave and has been swearing in new mutants all week. I actually saw him trying to swear in a pine tree. Well actually he tried to knock it down, then swore at it, and then later, tried to swear it in.

There are a couple others that I hope establish user id's and join us here.

So welcome aboard Sam!

High Laurie...
Welcome to the forum... you have experienced a GC and been a gracious hostess and host (Welcome Jim).

I checked the records and determined that you are officially RVM162... unless there has been a clerical error on my part.

Feel free to jump into any conversation... anytime.

Welcome aboard!

Hey there Zoom....
Stay dry... and declare the Journey is the Destination... and you can be a mutant too!
