Hey y'all. My brother's dentist and Veronica's former employer found out that Adam and Veronica are now living the FT RV lifestyle. He has 5 acres of land north of Houston that he thinks will make a nice (and profitable) RV park. He's wanting some ideas for what makes a great RV park.

So if you were going to open a small RV park what amenities would you add? Not being much of a park user my list is pretty short - all pull thrus, decent size lots and no parking lot feel. Also, what is your minimum comfortable site size?

Maybe we can get some input with the park name if we come up with enough great ideas.

Well for starters, move it Colorado!

Decent doggie park......

covered area... for group,
love the setup at Catherines Landing, but would
not have to be that big,
but the roll down tarps like in NLR were nice....

Group or companion sites....
like a spoke, saw one similar in Witchita Falls, TX
Pull thrus have not been a need, but, things change

FHU are not our requirement, but that limits the number of days we
Would stay

I have recently seen a rv park where if you are handicapped they will help out by setting you up, hookups, that would be a great draw for
Some.

Took a ride around the park tonight. The wood shop, lapidary etc is smaller than Paradise.

Five acres is not a lot of space.
Lots at least 70-75 feet long and wide enough to put out awnings without touching the other RV. The 70 feet will accommodate the bigger rigs, lie 43 and 45 footers.

An indoor, not just covered, meeting area big enough to hold 50-100 people.

Anything else is gravy.

Why inside meeting room. Texas weather is a constant gamble and is changing all the time. Spring, Summer and Fall can be hot so inside with AC is a preferred meeting place. Winters can be either warm, warmish, cold, or colder and an inside place is great for all around meetings. The larger meeting place will accommodate many other groups also.

Yuma, where the moon puts on a great show... lots of great shows by
the RVMOON.

Lots of fun times to be had here. Warm and sunny. And great places to eat. RV Mutant paradise.

Stop by, there are already 4 Mutant rigs in town, and more on the way.
