Bunch of yakkers... took me awhile to ketchup again... but I'm here, and I'm alive, and finally starting to feel better.

Top of the day to all Mutants.
I do declare the journey IS the destination. Actually, when you look at it, that is the definition of life. Isn't it?
Let's see.....I don't have heated floors. Some folks rave about it, and I'm sure it's nice, and maybe I'll have it someday who knows, but I don't have it, and I don't miss it. Not sure if that fits the criteria, but it is something I don't have and don't miss.
In response to previous posts......Dave, correct, you don't see a photo of the car, but I do have one. It was my dad's, he purchased new. 1962 two door coupe convertible. It's in need of a touch up re-restore, so it's not worthy of showing off right now.
Hahaha! Better watch the computer keys! (I assume it was a typo, hmmm), the keeper of the LIST may find a bunch of people waiting in line for the mysterious elixir. "Uh yes I'll take a 3 month supply of lust to go please". Kidding, kidding, had to razz you there.
Have a great rest of the day everyone.
Bill. (W.D.)

Info for the FEUMGC
21 mutants have expressed interest in attending the event near Mackinac Bridge in the lower peninsula of Michigan. 24 campsites are guaranteed. It's a large CG so large reservations can get a site somewhere in the CG.
Let me know as you register so I can make up a list of attendees.
Campground Information: Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground
9730 U.S. 23
P.O. Box 728
Mackinaw City, Michigan 49701
231-436-5584
Phone days and hours - - Monday thru Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Ask for Marisa Second choice - - ask for Rose
8 nights (Sept. 17 to morning of Sept. 25) - - - $278.00 + $4.00 registration fee
Additional nights before or after are $34.00 per night
Mary Ann and I are arriving on Sept. 13th and leaving the morning of Sept. 27th
Steve's notes to fellow mutants:
1. A deposit of 1/2 of your total is expected when you register
2. Be sure to tell the office the length of your unit
3. The community building fairly close to our sites has been reserved for our use Sept 17 - 25 only
4. If you have mobility challenges and would like to be close to the "best" fire pit (mutant central gathering place) and close to the community building, be sure to arrange that with the office
5. You can book extra days at either end of the week or both ends of the week.
6. Our sites are reserved until MARCH 1. You can start reserving your site on February 1. I told the office to expect up to 24 units. I have interest expressed by 21 sets of campers. The office has no names except mine. If you too slow in responding, you may find yourself sitting some distance from our group's cluster of sites. If 24 mutants set up reservations by the 15th of February and you then call the campground, you face the possibility of NOT BEING IN THE MUTANT CLUSTER OF SITES.

Charlene Papa Steve pretty much spelled it out on info of when and where.
All mutants need to attend a GC, their really fun and filling and if we only had a good low carb bun for our meals they would be less fattening! The meals are either pot luck/pitch in or out to restaurants. There are no fees unless someone has a craft that supplies are needed for and usually a campfire each night to lie, laugh and catch up on what everyone did for the day.

Additional notes that did not post. Duh. . . . techie me
7. Smuggled firewood is not allowed. Wood is for sale at the campground. If you have some nice pieces of kindling, you might bring it along and we won't tell anyone how we started the fires using logs 5" in diameter. LOL
8. The only scheduled activity is potluck on the 18th in the building with opening ceremonies around the firepit if weather permits. You know and I know that at least a couple other potlucks will somehow be arranged after our arrival.
9. Major strategy IS for our activities not to interfere with your day trips. Potlucks would probably not be planned before 5:30 or 6:00. Enjoy the area. Many lovely sights to be seen. (e.g. Soo Locks are about a 2 hour drive to the north, Mackinaw Island is a full day adventure, Leelanau Peninsula and it's beautiful drive is about a 6 hour day trip,

Hey all. Just chatted with Earlene. The ever impressive Mr Round came through his hand surgery with flying colours. Should be able to do everything he did before even though he already does wear glasses.

I'm glad Wayne made it into surgery and better yet, made it out ok. Earlene is the one needing Ohmms now. I can imagine he is not a very quiet patient. Does this mean he'll only be typing with one hand?

Congrats Bill, you passed. You'll get your RVM number soon, but check you email for RVM info from me. And we no longer keep lists - we just have lusts. You'll get some explanations in the email I send you.
Now who has the mop and broom?

Now that's a teacher to be appreciated. One that can see the rules more like I do! It's educators like that that got me where I am today!
