Question for those that don't have a gas oven.... Do you bake in the microwave/convection oven, and if so, how do you like it? We have always had an oven so this will be new to me. Also, do you cook a roast in the micro/convection? If not I see a new stove in our very near future.

When we got or MH Mary's list of Must Haves included a oven. We also have the convection microwave that she only used as a microwave for the longest. Once someone showed her how to use the convection part that's all she uses now. In fact if you open the gas oven you will find a cardboard box filled with can goods.

She bakes i.e. Brownies, cornbread, grill chicken, rolls etc. In the convection mode you can use metal pans. As far as roasts she uses a crock pot.

Hope you're feeling well!

Aside to Carl ...

The couple who parked next to us last night carried a macaw in from their car. It rode quietly on the woman's wrist. Beautiful bird -- red breast, blue back. A while later, they both went back to the car and hauled out a bloody great cage w/another macaw inside, or maybe 2; I couldn't see well in the dusk. Wow!

Martin thought I should go take pics for you. (Naw, you know what a macaw looks like.) It was an interesting show for us.

Another 20 min. or so, she went back again, pulled out another cage w/yet another. This one was gold-fronted and blue-backed, I think.

If any of those is anything like Mac, they'll be having noisy times! We heard not a peep next door, however. 🙉🙊😴
