You frying those fish nuggets in a wok?

No self respected Arkie would have a catfish fry in a Wok!

Although they do look good!

I'm surprised you know what a wok is.

I have the "smart" cooker 'cause I'm not a smart cook. The "smart" instant pot is wireless and has an app on the phone. I just push a button after the ingredients are add to the put and it cooks and finishes all by itself. Just release the pressure 'n eat.

My favorite so far is clam chowda!

My old deer camp had a small cabin equipped with all the outcast kitchen utensils donated by the wives of the members. A large wok and a ring that set on the stove and the wok balanced on was included. It was most often used to wash fresh potatoes and then slow fry them. That freed up the cast iron skillet for cooking deer meat.

Well it's perfect for the Coleman stove and fish is best fried outdoors!

I keep telling myself I don't need one... I have a big pressure canner... If I want to pressure cook something,I just stick a bowl inside it and cook away on the stove.... but I bet one will eventually find it's way into my kitchen. (Bob likes gadgets like bread makers and such...who needs a bread maker when ya have 2 hands, a bowl, a bread pan and an oven?)

I'm with you, Marty! A bowl, 2 hands, etc. Martin usually asks why not use xyz gadget, when I'd rather mix or whatever by hand. (Besides, it burns more calories. &#128521 Somehow it feels more authentic.

Still, we bought an Instant Pot & really enjoy it. I grew up w/ pressure cookers, so it isn't a big adjustment to make. My fave is bbq baby back ribs, fallin off the bone. That chowdah Wayne mentioned is yummy too.

Yep, I had a big pressure canner too, gave it to the schoold Home Ec dept when I moved to LR..... i still have 2 smaller stovetop ones, but chances if the coming out again are now slim...... this electric one comes to pressure within 2 minutes, no regulator noise, no HEAT, when it is done, it auto goes to stay warm mode.... like I said, I was so impressed that I ordered a second one... but both of mine are off brands, paid LESS than$50 each at Steinmart, 4 qt.....

I am a convert.....

Somehow, visitors seem to survive.

Welcome to our neck of the country, I have nominated Tim to coordinate the meeting times and location. Queen Ann & I just follow his capable lead.

Tim..... please coordinate... we might or might not be able to meet... as you might have read, had upstairs tub leak, then blow out when they were unhooking it... so bad it was running out of the downstairs kitchen door casing.... so they are working... should have been finished today...... lol, no way... tub is installed but they are supposed to tile around it.., so will be working into next week, THEN they will be replacing ceiling in the kitchen...

Larry has 2 doctor appointments on Tuesday, so that day is out as well....

Let me know plans, and if I can, maybe I can come, but do not plan around us....

But Filethis2, glad you will get to meet part of us at least...

Big tub.... but the old one was larger, when they had the blowout it was full....... here is the new one...Click image for larger version
