I told Tom not to judge the rest of the mutants by us. That really would not be fair to the rest of youse.

Cheers!

We mini-c'd at La Posta in Old Mesilla and I tried to get decent pics of their macaws for Carl & anyone else interested. I was threatened with being left behind, so I'm afraid I hurried too much. Martin says they are antigravity birds, so I must have turned the phone the wrong way or something. Still ... ID, Carl?

Congrats to Allen; it must have been a tough time there for a while.

How's the face by now? Not a football any more, I hope. From Steve's description of his experience, it takes more time than you'd like but is worth it.

Cheers!

I made the mistake on Thursday of sitting at my work table all day and working. I'd felt better, so drank coffee and ignored the sleepiness. Well yesterday and today feels like I had lost ground. So I need to take it easier and be more patient. I guess this just seemed to me like a fairly minor operation, no big deal, so recovery should be fairly quick....uh, wrong. Maybe partly my age; not bouncing back as easy as I would've 20 years ago. Either way, I gotta scale back my expectations.

Well the swelling has gone down quite a bit, and I discovered they actually had put splints in my nostrils to support the septum. Apparently the nurse who discharged me didn't know that, because she said there weren't any. I can feel them and they are pretty uncomfortable. Can't wait until Wednesday when they come out.

I have a horrible urge to blow my nose and rub it. Caught myself a couple times almost automatically doing that. Its like having chicken pox; the constant slow drip from my nose makes it itch. I hope I'm not rubbing it in my sleep.

Its kinda tough to brush your teeth, yawn, chew... there's allot of scabbing so it feels very crunchy to move your face.

So I do need to get a little work done today, but scaling that way back to an hour or two, and planning a couple naps in there.

Charlene

Hey Vince

We're a little east of Yuma. Dave and Nola have moved on but I believe Steve and Annie are still around here somewhere. Barb is up by Quartzite in the boonies. Not sure about anyone else right now, they'll have to chime in on their own.

Oh yes, Wayne. They both have more English/Irish heritage than you do. And, Tom correctly pronounced Aluminium.

Practice makes perfection. That's a lovely floor. Were you planning it anyway as part of the remodel, or is this Plan B?

Actually planned,,, bought this flooring 2 months ago....
less than $100 of material....
would be super in an rv as it is 100% waterproof...
Click loc install... just had to cut... which I used a super size dremel type saw thing...... was like a jigsaw puzzle...... and i had only 1/2 plank left..... lol... cut it close, but only bought 2 boxes.... the angles are the fun part....

We're in Tucson (New Horizons Tucson Village) for some snow birding from new home (May 2017) in Carson City, NV. We will be leaving in a week or so for home and may go the Yuma, Q, Havasu route.

Warm wishes to all.
Vince
Hi Vince!

The furkids and I are in La Posa South near Q for another 4-5 weeks. Come on down!
