Where I get Boko's food down in FL at a local Petsmart, there's this really beautiful Orange colored bird, I think it was a Seneca, can't remember, so cute and friendly too. $599 and would get along with these other two like these other two get along, which is not at all. Too small too, even Boko would likely pick on it.

Oh, and an OH YEAH! for the enhancement! Looks nice.

What a cutie! I was going to ask if she is a parakeet. Glad I read ahead. You and Nola should consider one of your own.

Tim,
Consider your first sentence.

Now if it was just Mary, that is a true statement.

In all sincerity there isn't an RVMutant I would not break bread with.

All are welcome to our house.

I don't see the problem...get a safe space for the bird, keep it away from drafts, all's good.

Small bird only needs a small cage and LOTS of attention. If Carl can travel with Mac and Boko and I can fulltime with Sena and Lily, Crystal should be easy, peasy. I bet Carl could give you lots of tips for adding a bird to your life.

One caution - does Crystal like Nola? If not I’d suggest you raise your own parrotlet with one that is recently weaned. I assume that like monkeys, birds are protective of their primary person. With monkeys good co-parenting helps avoid the jealousy that encourages that behavior.

I'll volunteer to bird sit whenever y'all are close by.

LOL, I couldn't stop laughing at your comment about birds being protective. I mean, you are 100% correct, but what's funny is what do you think Crystal is going to do??? And besides, she looks too cute to be mean like that.

Boko is that way, she won't bother others that would cause jealousy like it does with Mac. She'll let anyone she isn't personally threatened by pick her up, sit on their shoulders, etc.

Mac on the other hand will waddle right up to some people (male or female) that he feels are encroaching in his protective space with me and nail them right wherever he can bite. I've seen it more than once and he's quite determined to nail whomever. And worse, he'll do displacement biting on me if he can't get the other person (happened in Tucson and other occasions).

I just think the smaller birds are a lot less threatening because their beak power is limited and I know they can nip but sticking ones finger into the beak pretty much prevents that from hurting. And again, I can't see little Crystal being anything but a pure cutie

Ok, you got me on that one. She is too small to do much damage, but it's not much fun living with a jealous critter.

This is Joe Kopfman, and my Wife is Teri. I am from Kansas, but grew up in Colorado. Teri is a retired High School Art Teacher, and is still coaching track, and is very involved in our local community here in Fort Lupton, Colorado. Teri is from Junction City, Wisconsin, we both like to ski in the winter, and hiking in summer. I am a retired Machine Shop owner and engineer that likes fishing, and camping. We have two children Girl in Fort Collins, CO and Boy in Laramie, WY. I am also Lucky to have Donnie and Colleen as Aunt and Uncle.

We were able to reserve a place at Mill Creek Campground from Sept 17 - Sept 25., and are really looking forward to seeing everyone. We will leave Colorado right after Labor Day, and stay by Teri's mom in Junction City, Wisconsin until the 17th, it is only about 6 hrs from there to Mackinaw City.

A late Thank You Barb for the RVM Dictionary, it is priceless.
Dave those were great Looking T-Bones.
I also like the sound of that- Kopfman and Kopfman maybe a sporting goods store?
So glad that you and Teri have conjured up the courage to join us mutants again in a mass gathering. Takes courage to sit among so many unique individuals. I hope that this experience equals the fun that you had out in Oregon. Have you been invited to officially join our zany group? You have all of the qualities we're looking for.
