Out of the desert and into the...
RAIN! Drove most of the day in rain. Haven't seen any since a little bit in January in Yuma. Sitting outside of Carthage MO now and the rain followed us here.
Get to go to Colaw RV Salvage Monday looking for a replacement basement door thanks to that aggressive pipe post in Las Vegas. Also discovered today that my rear air conditioner cover has disappeared somewhere in the last few days (really windy traveling a couple of days ago, maybe lost it then. It was missing a chunk anyway.
Nice to see green grass again. Was traveling through Oklahoma and saw the smoke from one of their large wildfires. Way too much dry stuff there.
Dog keeps wanting to go out until I open the door and he sees the rain, then its "never mind"...
We're at a park called Coachlight. Came in just at the end of an Escapee rally. Still pretty full but we have a nice spot with trees and a grassy area with a lawn swing nearby.

The view from our sight. We're on BLM land along Utah Highway 9 between La Verkin and Virgin. This road leads to Zion National Park. Lily says, "Let's go this way, Mom"

Martin,
Did you keep the tires on the cement and tar backing into the driveway?

Oh yes - with one clean sweep under the expert guidance of Dave using hands free phone. Now, I have to work out how to leave this morning without falling over the culvert.

Ok.... rv steps wont come out.... we were doing a check on RV, I was on the phone with Dwayne the other day, and I walked out and Larry was on the ground looking under the step.... well, he now has a pulled lower back muscle, and the step still wont come out....
I also got down, scooted under and looked under and there is a plug hanging but I see no where to plug it..... anyone know? Larry has already tried fuses, etc....

Stupid computer ate my message, try again:
Keeping this 'simple' since you may not be familiar with this stuff. If the plug only has a couple of wires, it probably plugs into the motor. That's the thing with the arm attached to the steps. Look for a socket along one side. If it has several wires (4 or so), it probably plugs into the control box. That's a squarish box with several wires and a plug, maybe with a long piece sticking out of one side. If the hanging plug is actually from that box, then there is another group of wires with a plug dangling there somewhere. Plugs only connect in one orientation. If you have literature that came with the coach, it may have the step manual in there with a drawing showing how everything goes together. If not, try "Kwikee steps" online, model numbers vary on number and size of steps & design of arm, rest is pretty similar for all.
Most of these steps are fairly consistent among manufacturers I believe. Hope this helps.

Wish I were there to trouble shoot it for you. Worse case is you can disconnect the arm and pull them out manually but if you want to go anywhere you will have to bungee them or tie them some how.
Need to check to see if voltage is at the connector. what you see hanging my be a direct plug in to the motor. It could just also be an unused wire.
Look at the gears on the plate on the underside of the top step. Make sure no teeth are broken causing it to bind. Open the door and pull on the step to see if it releases but carefully.
It could also be a bad motor. If you do replace it order the correct one. they make a left and right hand motor. Amazon has them for around $75.
The motor come off real easy with 3 bolts. Keep the little pig tail that is on the motor as you will need it for the new one.
Wish I was there.
