I checked eBay and Amazon. The Moose has found the best deals.

Yes, around 1955 when I was about 14. I started to say Sh#* when I realized someone with authority was near by so said Sheesh. It got added to the Merriam Webster dictionary.
If you believe any of that I'll spin another one, except, it is in the dictionary.

Thank you both!* Abebooks has always been a good resource, & then there's Amazon, of course. I will probably buy from one of them. Cheers!
My friend came out today and we walked & talked & picked, but she also brought terrible news. The dragontail kid doesn't like asparagus any more!
Ah well, he is about to turn 13. That explains a lot!* 😲
Cheers & thanks again!

Something similar happened w/my mother's rhubarb patch when someone else started mowing for her. Not just increasing shade, but repeated cutting off to boot, & the rhubarb finally gave up.
Our wild asparagus started from my grand- or great grand- or even possibly great great grandparents' garden. The birds ate the berries & deposited the undigested seeds, prefertilized, along fencerows & under trees all over the farm. Daddy knew where to look, & I learned from him, on our corner of the place (Hillcrest).
Over here at the home place (Walnut Hills), I learned over time & developed my own routine. Some days the walk yields 4 or 5# of spears.
Yup, I sure hate where we live! 😉

We always had rhubarb.
It was always a great summer snack to grab and peel and savor the puckering flavor. And the pies and cakes and sauces etc were welcomed deserts.
And then there was horseradish! ❤️

Gwen is nearly ready for her bum makeover!
We take her to the Dr. in the morning.
Mohms are welcomed. She’s afraid it may damage her exhaust. [emoji6]

The bigger question, that should get answered once and for all; does the use of DEF make her butt look fat?????

Made my mouth water!
I never thought to eat rhubarb raw, but I'll give it a try. Made my mouth water again!
Horseradish, otoh, makes yer eyes water instead. I've yet to grate or grind my own, so this is only hearsay* from me. Who's prepared their own?
Cheers!
______
* Great word, hearsay. Think about it. 🤔😊

I'm predicting Gwen will once again be a beauty queen... we all get dings... lucky for her, cars are sometimes easier to fix up.
