Tim is exploring a Nothing.
Nothing takes more time than posting.
At this point, Tim is in a real big empty, that he happens to be right in the middle of, pondering which side of nothing he prefers

Yep, Earlene uses one at the house. She hangs her clothes in front of it on a line and when finished the line retracts and is hidden.
In Texas you just put the eggs and bacon on the cement and wait five minutes. Solar works well.
Okay, in actuality we ran into a couple that used a solar oven. They said it worked great. No PoP.

I'm trying to expand our diet a bit and for some reason beans and rice sound good. Sena eats uncooked instant brown rice, but I prefer cooked real brown rice. I took out the propane stove and oven years ago and rarely have electricity for the induction cooktop.
I've seen plans for DIY solar ovens and already have most of the materials to make one. Do they work well enough to cook rice?

You know... I never really appreciated Monday mornings until I retired. My apologies to those still chasing a paycheck.

Yup!! I used to be jealous of an old guy in his eighties in my office, still slugging away, and it was my plan to emulate him. Eventually, though, I had to acknowledge that health issues were interfering and turned in my paperwork. Have never been sorry for having done so.
RVM174, Hoping to actually get on the rainbow!!

We just had a close call. A huge limb, probably 12” in diameter, fell from an ancient pine tree that 5 minutes earlier Lily and I were standing under.
The odd thing is that the limb wasn’t dead and the wind is only about 10 mph. Those aren’t the conditions that usually cause tree limbs to crash to the ground.
It missed DD's house by inches and Lily and me by minutes but it smashed an electronic weather station, some plants that I have nurtured all summer and one end of Lily's trolley line. That's where Lily goes to chase squirrels and usually gets her lead line tangled and needs to be rescued.
I think I’m done working in the yard for today.
