Not a very spectacular pic, but it is all I could catch from the moving train. We had just crossed the River Tweed (yes, really) at Berwick (pronounced "bare'-ick")-Upon-Tweed just before the Scottish border. On the river's edge was ancient stonework, obviously defensive, which ran from there up the hill to this point. Whether it was originally attached to a larger structure or not, I don't know, but it is likely to have been Roman.

Guess I'll have to go visit Mr. Google to find out more.

Sue, before I get too far I will try to post pictures tomorrow. A case of beautiful sunny day but ran out of 'lectricity in batteries.

We are about 21 days into living in this unit and are still working out the bugs. In some ways Buchess is too big and in others too small. We are having a bit of difficulty assessing what is and what isn't important to keep for our travels. I can't find find the Class III dual hitch receiver extension I need to tow the towed and carry the tray I will mount the fishing stuff on. I will have to buy a new one in Victoria when we get there. Way too much fun just goofing off and meeting with friends. See you along the rainbow,

Bev, on Avenue De Messilla, and just past Calle De Correo, on the left is Ristramnn Chille Co. We always stop there and get some chilles. He keeps some frozen and you can get from mild to hot.

We once brought a string of them home and when the were ready we blanched them, peeled the skin off and pressed them through a sieve. The juice was put into ice cube containers and frozen. Then pop them out and into a zip-lock for keeping. Great for cooking - oh shucks - you don't have any way to keep all that good stuff.

The hand roll is called "temaki," and is a family treat where the family sits around with the sheets of nori and besides the staple of rice add whatever they wish for a filling. It's served around here also.

Funny about the "poke." We were grocery shopping just a couple days ago and believe it or not Sam's Club had some pokes. They were using Salmon but the typical is Tuna.

I would call you right now but it is 7:30 a.m. your time so I'm going to let you rest but I'm just impatiently waiting to hear the 'lectricity' story.

That hitch is right where you left it!

That hasn't stopped you in the past.

I know that I just don't know where that point of leaving is located.

So looking forward to leaving the area and heading south. We miss the chats and associated nonsense phone calls with you and Earlene. Can hardly wait for our re-connection with the world when our new MJ dongle arrives.

Well we are off on another adventure! We listed our house and sold it basically the first day it came online. Good bye to Agassiz B.C. and heading to the sunny Okanagan The only Desert in Canada. The down side is the move.

You and Les will be close neighbours now. We were planning on being in Agassiz area at new years and were hoping to see you two then. When we get into the Okanagan we will look you up for sure.

It will be South Posa, within 500 yds of the biffy, since I am not self-contained. Rules.

Martin,
I find it curious looking at your flight route......I wonder why the arch in the path instead of a straight line? I assume it was a non stop flight correct?
A straight flight route which is typical, is obviously the shortest time wise. Just found it interesting.
