It's not the meeting place.
It's not the food.
It's not the activities.

It is the wonderful people who have come to be friends.

Y'all are always in our minds and hearts.

Remember that the welcome mat is always out at our house, just check to make sure we are there.

Have a safe journey.

'Till the next wonderful time.

Rolled out of Miller Creek today and stopped at I-35 RV Park a little south of Waco TX. We have a little wooden sign we hang on the side of the coach, forgot to bring it in. Stopped at a rest park for lunch and at a Flying J for gas. Got delayed for an hour or so by an accident on I-35. Got to the park and Carol stepped outside to spot me. Guess what - little sign was still there. We'll definitely remember to bring it inside tonight...

Oh yes, the accident. Pickup truck pulling a 5th wheel ran up onto the rear of a semi cab, sitting there at about a 45 degree angle. Passenger compartment looked intact so hopefully no serious people injuries. Hate to see what the inside of the 5th wheel looked like after that rather abrupt stop though...

So we finally arrived at the Lazy L RV park in Sherman after 300 miles including wheel to wheel battles through Austin and Dallas, ready for registration and a well deserved nap. On exiting the rig we find a darn great barnacle on the sidewall of the curbside tire looking ready to burst. It had disappeared by the time we had finished signing in, leaving a large blister.

We've located a local tire shop who has this size of Michelin in stock and will come out tomorrow morning. I suppose I should consider changing both fronts but at over $700 per maybe not since they are relatively young and low mileage.

I will now study the terms of the Michelin warranty as this does look like a manufacturing defect.Click image for larger version

Well the sign was there and the tire was still holding air so at least it's good news for both!
We made the trip up to Waco with no sign of problems, set up and took a nap. Once the afternoon rush thinned out some we ventured out to check out the Magnolia Table and the Magnolia Silos so we would know where to go without the bumper to bumper traffic.

At both places we got out to take pictures. We all know pictures behind the locked gate would be better so, well we meet a security guard, with a badge and a gun! Turns out he is Chip and Joanns biggest fan and was very friendly explaining where to park and how to use the trolly to avoid hunting for parking all day oh and what the hours that the gate would open. What luck!

Stay safe Mutants! Oh and out of trouble!

I saw that pickup with the 5th wheeler too. Waze routed me around it on the access road that ran along the highway.

Stopping overnight at the Arkansas rest area. Took a good 11 or so hours to get out of Texas.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Carl enjoy Arkansas!

We are sitting in a very nice RV park. Clean, friendly, shady, convenient BUT within a stones throw of I-35. Traffic noise all night long. Never slows down. That's one busy street. I actually was able to get a few hours of sleep myself but Mary is like a zombie. Sure hope this dosnt affect my visit to Chip and Joanns!
