Rain related fun here this morning. Was on line when I heard something sounded like dumping a load of gravel, thought they were reworking one of the sites. Opened the blind a little later to see a tree had toppled over and hit both the laundry building and a truck parked nearby. Curiosity did its thing so on with the sneakers and go for a closer look. The tree had actually managed to fall into the narrow space between the building and the truck. Pulled down a power line (but not broken). Truck had limbs laying over it but windshield was unbroken. Maintenance cut the tree up later and truck was moved. Haven't gone to see if any other damage to it (built Ford tough?). Came back from grocery run to see a blue trap over one end of the laundry roof so apparently some damage there. Tree root ball was partially out of the ground; trunk was cracked a little above it. Ground is really saturated here from all the rain, still some standing water in the lawn areas. Supposed to be sunny and warmer here Friday, maybe stuff can dry out some.

Dave, you need to come spend summer up here in the Pacific Northwest. We had a partly cloudy, temps in the 70’s day yesterday. It rained about 1/4 inch last night but was partly cloud again most of the day. It was a little cooler today - high 60s.

I wouldn’t give you a nickel for this place from October 1st to mid June, but the summers are marvelous!

Since this is a called meeting of the Mlumps Club I was just wondering when you and Moose will be arriving? Remember we elect (or appoint) officers at this meeting. Hope you didn't forget.

Count me in! We just bought an older DP and we pretty much bought it for the engine, drive-train and ride. Time to rip out the bordello style valences and fancy accordion blinds and improve the audio. Ditch the TV's and the roof wart dish antenna. Rip out the sconces and put up the Burning man posters.

Welcome Kahoona! You truly sound very Mutant. Before we allow you to join exclusive membership you must first pass the written test. Are you ready?

Question 1- tell us something your RV doesn’t have that you'll never miss.

Question 2 - affirm your dedication our group motto by writing verbatim "The Journey is the Destination"

Ok, study hard and complete your exam at your leisure. An official will be along later to grade it. If you pass you'll be anointed with your very own RVM number and all the associated rights and responsibilities.

Given the hour of the day, I suspect that the officials are all either lunching or napping. As a night owl on the west coast, my day is just getting beginning. I hope to check in later to find that you have succeeded in your quest, Grasshopper.

In your dreams, pal!

Kahoona there is no cost associated with becoming an RV Mutant and don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise. All Muties pay their own way.

...it was a unanimous decision. You are now President. Make sure you live up to it. Tim will be along soon to tell you about it.

So yes, we arrived Hot Spings, avoiding Albuquerque. While here, Richard twisted Mary's arm to put on a feed show, and did she with venison, tators, corn scraped from the cob (thanks Ann), blah, blah blah, and gravy.

And Queen Ann baked an Apple Pie and Fresh Peach pie to go along with “Mountain Oysters “.
Day two will begin when the girls text or call when their eyes open.
Activities planned include a brief tour of the Hot Springs area, and true to Mutant by-laws - a meal will be mandatory.
