A few posts ago I mentioned the road and 90˚ turn had to make.
Here is a picture of that turn. I had no idea it was coming up but had I known I could have approached a little more from the left of the road. There wasn't much of a turning area onto that bridge. Thank goodness for a 60˚ cut.Click image for larger version

Today the GPS did us in again. Should have stuck to what I saw on map program. Winding slow travel an very narrow roads. Mucho fun approaching 18 wheelers. Wonder why they were on that road. Must have been a short cut.

Two hour trip took 3 hours.

Cming north out of Gulfshores there is a 90* curve in road that they placed stop signs on to make you slow down to maneuver around it. Woods was to the left, water was straight ahead and road to my right. Funny to stop for no reason but I'm guessing too many cars wound up in the water!

So, I went to Girl's camp for a week, gets harder every year to keep up with 10-12 year olds! I think I'm done trying to be a counselor... There are other things not quite so draining to do at girls camp, and still be useful and contribute and continue to 'give back' some of what I gained there as a child.
Before I left for camp, and after Bob had packed for Italy, the washer broke... got to the spin cycle and said it had had enough with a tub full of water... so I pulled the clothes out, let them drain in the sink for awhile, and then wrung them out as good as I could before putting them in the dryer. So since we were both going to be gone for a week... we put off doing anything about it. Actually, before I left for camp I ran a couple loads at my dog sitting client's house who is moving to AZ, since I had told her about the dilema, and she kindly offered to let me use her machine, then, she said... well, we aren't taking our washer and dryer with us... why don't you take them? So after we both got back, we took our washer and dryer out, and went and got hers. Took my dryer to my sons house( whose wife has chickens) and now they aren't having to hang out their laundry or hang in inside( it quit during the really wet rainy season we had) and I am back in the spin business with my laundry!
Love how things work out like that... so now I'm all caught up on laundry, garden needs a lot of attention, but Bob and I went to go pick up a load of spoiled hay from one of my horse clients, perk of the job...LOL! But I need to 'clear the forest' so to speak before I can lay down more mulch, Got my tomatoes in really late, there will be no red tomatoes by the 4th of July this year... but they will be ready to start staking up.
Still missing Bess dog pretty bad. I fostered a Great Pyrenees for a week... too big... but he was the nicest fella. But the experience told me I'm not ready for another pooch yet.
Stay safe on the 4th... keep a lookout for errant bottle rockets landing on your roofs or other spots of your RV's. Haven't been able to get out to camp at all, all the lakes around here are still overfull, camping spots are flooded still

Drainage tube out. Strange burning sensation when I touch the right side of my repair. Appetite slowly returning (have lost 15 - 20 lbs). Drove the car for the first time in 3 weeks today. Mary Ann and family have been soooooooo helpful and caring. Still love to lounge around in loose fitting clothes.

Surgeon has placed NO restrictions on me. Mesh will hold says he. Anchored well and placed between two layers of muscle. No need to revisit the surgeon.

Thanx everyone for the prayers and ohms.

Tim, we were thinking of you today, and this is a road you would not want to be on. None of these trees jumped out at us, but then we are not you.Click image for larger version
