And now for something completely different
Apparently when discussion the situation with British shipping over near Iran, something mentioned that the British 'threat system' had gone to "What's all this then?". That got others thinking about the various levels of a system like the US set up after 9/11. Hopefully Martin will chime in and correct me if I get the threat levels out of sequence.

And now for something even more completely different
Ordered 2 tires for MH today. Ouch.
Going in Tuesday to get new brakes on rear axle. Also Ouch.
AC fan has started groaning - bearings are getting dry. Have been up on the roof twice now packing grease around them; some noise at startup and occasionally but otherwise going OK. Ouch averted for now.
However, these have been the only major repairs since blowing out that spark plug in Michigan last fall so I guess I'm not doing too bad at the moment.
This RV park outside of Anderson IN wouldn't be too bad for a rally except I don't believe the clubhouse has a kitchen (open by appointment so I could only peek in the windows so far). The big drawback is the distance from Indianapolis - about 30 miles - and there aren't a lot of attractions right around here.

Well, never one who fails to rise to a challenge, I offer a few more quaint english expressions of surprise.
One used a lot by my Dad, - 'Gor, love a duck.'
' Well, I'll go to the foot of the stairs!'
'Gordon Bennet'
and, 'kin 'ell.
On a different note, just to let y'all know, we've just invested in a TOGO Roadlink roof mounted 4G LTE router for our on the road internet needs. This device also works as a campground wifi extender although that feature would only be needed if you're out of ATT coverage. There are 2 data plans on offer, the one we picked is the 'Unlimited Adventure' - which is annual prepaid one for $360 ie $30/mnth which is a lot less than the 'bargain' $50/ mnth Verizon plan through FMCA which has a hard cap at 25GB. There is no mention of any cap in this ATT plan, just the usual words about possible slow down in periods of congestion. Indeed, I don't think there is any way of finding out how much data has been used. On speed, it's blazing fast. Once I'd ironed out a few setup issues, it's now sitting out in the yard giving download speeds of between 25 and 30 Mbps. The range is good also - I'm getting those speeds with very good signal strength nearly 200 ft away. There is one major rule with this ATT plan - your router must be mounted on your RV. It is expressly forbidden to mount it on your golf cart or in your car. How they would know this? Well, it does have GPS on board for device location - nothing's private any more.
Will be installing it this afternoon.

This question is aimed at Marty and Sue, but all are welcome to chime in - not that I could stop you. LOL
I just got this vertical gardening bag today
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’m thinking about growing strawberries in it. It’s not likely that any will ripen before October when we'll head to Arizona. I want to take them with us. I can attach them to the outside rear wall of the RV where they won’t get excessive wind while driving.
Do you think this will work?

We head further north on August 1st and then west on highway 2 till we hit ocean .
Welcome Cara66 glad to have you aboard and it's great to have caught up with the last 8 pages of ramblings , and just so you know I did not have anything to do with Tim's deer stand failure ... lol ...
I have been busy , I had the soffits an facia all replaced on my Mom's home and wouldn't ya know it .... Her well pump decided to fail , so that's been changed as well as has all the filters and screens that needed to be changed as well plus adding in a new outdoor faucet , I knew I went full time for a reason ... to get away from caring for a house , but since my mom needs help with hers that's what summer has become ...
Y'all take care and I'll check back in soon
Wayne .... Behave
Cheers !!!!

Hey Jeff! Hiway 2 comes within about 20 miles of us at Monroe, WA. We parked at the Lowe's there for our last night on the road. I can only get into my DD's place when there's plenty of daylight left.
