I LOVE that gorgeous blue sky. I hope the fire doesn’t do any real damage.

Sadly, we’ll never do Monarch Pass. I get high altitude sickness if I go above 7,500 feet without a pressurized cabin. Keep the PoP coming, please.

I have NOT read this bizilllionaire-post thread.
I will NOT be impressed until you have the best roof design that is also properly attached to the wall headers AND that has the best design for attaching AND sealing the roof-mounted air conditioners.

Today we went down to 5300 feet in Pueblo. Found new chassis batteries for $99 each! Gwen showed 10.5 volts.

Then back to 6300 at Cotopaxi to install the batteries.
When the skinny battery guy at Sams Club put them in the Jeep, he carried them both!!! 46 lbs each! It was quite a test for Old Me. 2 out, 2 in, one at a time two-handed, with a break between each one.

BTW, the local mule deer roam through Salida like they own it!

Further to my recent video from Glorious Goodwood, here for your enjoyment is another, covering what was missing from the first - one of the many flying displays. I recall there were a few more planes in 2012, but here we see a lone Spitfire with a brace of P51 Mustangs.

Ahh, memories. Had a chance to ride in a P51 a few years back at a Harley Rally in Ohio. I spent the money.

Nothing like doing a barrel roll and a strafing run he pulled out of about 20 feet above the runway after approaching at a 45 degree angle. Got to the other end of the runway and went pretty much straight up.

Best 1/2 hour I ever spent in an airplane.

Was not inexpensive but worth every penny!!

We had a tough driving day yesterday coming down from 7000+ feet in Flagstaff, AZ during the storms created by what was left of Hurricane Lorena.

Today was a marvelous day to drive. We have arrived at Notta Ranch for the winter. It’s still really warm here, but the Turbokool is keeping us comfortable during the hottest part of the day.

There are SO many projects I want to do. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do first. I hope that will become clearer tomorrow as I unpack.
